Alaric: Now why would I know anything about the Lockwoods?

Damon: Well, you wouldn't. But your dead, not-dead vampire wife might.

Elena: Isobel's research from when you guys were at Duke together.

Stefan: You said that she had spent years researching this town.

Alaric: Isobel's research here in Mystic Falls rooted in folklores and legends but at the time I thought much of which was fiction.

Damon: Like that amazing vampire story.

Elena: Aside from vampires, what else?

Alaric: The lycanthrope and hellhounds.

Stefan: Like the Blakes

Damon: And that sexy ass man Shaun.

Alaric: Why do you suspect the Lockwood and Blakes?

Damon: Because vervain didn't affect the mayor at Founders' Day but the Gilbert device did and it affected his son Tyler and it also affected Maya.

Stefan: It suggests it's some sort of a supernatural entity.

Elena: We were hoping that Isobel's research could help us figure it out what it is.

Alaric: Well, all her things are still at Duke. I mean her office is still there. She's technically still missing.

Damon: So can we get access to it?

BLAKE HOUSE

Maya is dancing around in her room when someone places their hand on her shoulder, she turns around seeing Samuel standing behind her

Maya: Papa, what are you doing?

Samuel: I need to tell you something

They sit down on the bed

Samuel: Mason has been asking around about this

He holds the moonstone in his hand

Maya: The moonstone?

Samuel: Mason wants this.

Maya: Why does he need it?

Samuel: I don't know. We need to figure out why he wants it.

Maya: Let me get dressed.

Samuel smiles at his granddaughter, standing up and leaves the room.

WOODS

Shaun and Laura are walking around the swimming hole

Laura: Is it me or is that Amiee Bradley's ass really hot?

Shaun: Since when are you all class?

Laura shrugs her shoulders, smirking sightly. They see Mason pulling up in his car

Shaun: Mason's here.

They both use their powers to listen in to Mason and Tyler

Tyler: You busting us or you joining us?

Mason: Neither. Hoping you can make sure everyone is out of here by dark.

Tyler: What happens after dark?

Mason: Someone ends up wasted and dead at the bottom of the lake. You heard your mom. The family is liable if anything happens.

Tyler: Don't be a party killer.

Mason: Hey, I didn't say you had to stop partying, I just said you had to take it elsewhere.

Tyler: Alright, we'll be out of here.
