-QUICK WIT-

"I'm not sure if this can be considered as a good wit" Tyullib stated, hurrying to walk alongside Jeongukk who was able to spot a pirate ship docked at the far back corner of port cleverly hidden in the plain sight of shadows.

Even if spotted by any other person Jeongukk doubted anyone would dare to approach that ship which lurks around ports only after midnight

"We are stuck in a do-or-die situation, it's either this or we stay back and wait for the inevitable attack" Jeongukk answered unstopping, treading with large steps.

"Are you sure?" She asked struggling to keep up with those large steps When there wasn't an answer she continued "Indeed it is a taut situation but that can't be the ultimate reason for us to walk into something so," She paused to catch a breath "treacherous"

"You think I don't realize that?" The alpha slowed down glancing at Tyullib not liking the presumed insolence attitude of hers

"Yes," She breathed looking back at him in her undaunted attitude that had been misinterpreted with insolence by the alpha.

"You got to be joking with me" He scoffed

"Do I look like I'm joking with you?" She replied with a flicker of annoyance at which Jeongukk stared at her in disbelief for a moment.

Tyullib stared back at him arching her brows and he sighed.

"This is nonsensical" He commented huffing and ignoring, he looked back at the pirate ship and increased his pace walking faster

"What do you mean by nonsensical?" She half-yelled following him with heavy steps in irritation

"You, you are nonsensical and so," He yelled back this time not glancing at her and pacing straight ahead, the decibel of his raised voice fanning out low with the harsh winds.

"So what?" She questioned, breathless with the speed

The weather was changing engulfing them in the windy atmosphere.

"It's precarious-" Jeongukk started

"Oh so you do realize that," the Alpha was cut off by the Witch who was irked by his rude attitude

Though Jeongukk was growing annoyed by her imprudent act he instead stayed focused on the pressing matter.

"We need to find a way out of this situation and you are conspicuously of no help," He replied impertinently "More of a useless person here pointing out flaws in a patently risky situation"

Tyullib gritted her teeth to hold back a crude remark as she was concerned with directing the flow of tensed currents, the change of ways.

"I'm just trying to be reasonable to keep us out of danger" She laid her point of concern

"Still not helping" Jeongukk retorted unconcerned and occupied with tension, troubled with the change of circumstance as he got closer to the ship and saw a boy sauntering towards the hawser.

"You seem doubtfully daring at this hour, anything interesting to share?"

The boy was named Hyunjin who preferred being called Sam had got down to handle the hawser for mooring the ship but was held back and appealed for a ride with an incentive of one gold coin from Jeongukk which had been previously earned with the help of Tyullib.

The boy looked skeptical but took the money with mere a shrug which was the reason why Jeongukk approached him, young beings were easy to persuade.

"Desperate times, desperate measures"
Jeongukk passed a casual remark in reply to appear less threatening though his build was intimidating enough because of which the boy gave the couple a once over with his scrutinizing gaze
