A tall, goat looking monster approached Frisk. They didn't know why, but they saw her and felt calm. They were still scared because of where they were, but seeing the goat lady made them feel oddly at home.

* Oh my! Are you okay, child?
She asked them.
* Ah, yeah- Yes, I'm okay, sorry...
Frisk was still slightly afraid being in an unfamiliar environment.
* I was on my way over here to see if any humans had fallen, I'm so sorry I hadn't arrived sooner, you must be so scared...

She seemed familiar to them, despite never having met her before, Frisk felt as if she could be trusted. Still, they kept their guard up just in case.

* It's okay, really! I'm fine! I'm glad you're here now, could you tell me how to get out of here?
Frisk approached the tall goat lady timidly

* Yes, of course. Come with me, my child.

She turned around and started walking towards the dark purple doorway that was up ahead.
Frisk followed her, feeling... Safe. All the while, they couldn't shake the feeling that they had met this lady before.

* My name is Toriel. Sorry for not introducing myself earlier, that was quite rude of me

She said, putting a hand over her mouth slightly while still showing a warm and gentle smile.

Toriel... The name rung in Frisk's head.

They didn't know where they were. They didn't know if where they were was even safe. They didn't know if they were going to get out of there alive, but nonetheless, they felt a strange connection to this place. As if the underground was but a second home to them. It felt as if they were meant to be there. They took a deep breath, and continued following Toriel into the catacombs.

They felt safe. They felt calm. And they were determined to see things through.

As they entered the room, Frisk was amazed at how beautiful the place looked. They were always a fan of plant life such as vines and leafs. As they walked forward, they felt their soul shine within them, and all injuries they had sustained from their fall had been undone.

* Are you alright, my child?

Frisk looked over to Toriel, having been brought back to reality.

* Ah! Yeah, sorry, this place is just really pretty, haha.

* You think so?
Toriel replied with mild curiosity

* Having lived here for so long I guess I've sort of gotten used to it
She giggled a bit. The familiarity grew stronger within Frisk.

Toriel had guided them through a few rooms with puzzles in them, all of which she had helped Frisk with, until finally they entered a room with a dummy standing at one end of it.

* As a human in the underground, monsters may attack you. You need to be ready for this.

Frisk listened intently.

* When you encounter a monster, strike up a friendly conversation! Try your best to defuse the situation so that the monster leaves you alone, and so that you can go on with your day. You can practice on this Dummy!

Frisk approached the dummy.

They weren't quite sure what to do here...

. . .

To ease out of the awkwardness, they simply said...

* Hey! Uh... It's nice in the ruins today huh?

The dummy... Didn't seem much for conversation.

* . . .

Frisk was a little embarassed at what they said.

* (Nice day in the ruins. Cool. Sure.)

They were a bit frustrated at the fact that, even though they were only talking to a dummy, the only thing they could come up with was "Nice day huh?"

Toriel, however, seemed happy with them, and that was enough to make them happy aswell.

They continued onto the next room. Frisk felt as if getting out wasn't going to be as difficult as they once thought. They felt as if they actually had a fighting chance.

They entered the next room.
