[ 3rd Person POV ]
A person can be seen dying on the floor due been crushed by a rumbles, yet he miraculously still breathing albeit heavily. His half lid eyes is almost devoid of life, now he just lying there waiting for his death to come while thinking about how he just got himself in this situation.
Yui: 'To think I will end up in such, it really unexpected.'
The person, Yui Kanzaki thought, as he still remember how he got himself in this situation. This morning, he and his friends, Kenta Yagashi and Asuna Kirisaki made a promised to meet each others after school. Upon the school times finished, they meet up and decided to go to Akihabara due Kenta want to buy a new games while Asuna want to buy a new plushies.
While waiting on the underground train station, they suddenly feel the ground was shaking and the next moment the siren of Earthquake rang that indeed happen afterward. It cause all the people to go panic as they pushing each that make Asuna to fall, he noticed a rumble about to fall on her immediately pushed away to save her.
The earthquake subdue but he now trapped and crashed by the rumble. He somehow can felt that I don't have enough times. Asuna look in horror and he can saw her crying, which later on Kenta found them and of course horrified to see his friend was in such stated. He tried everything he can to save Yui which is proved futile.
In the end, Kenta can only apologies while crying and blame himself for this will not happen if he not asking them to go to Akihabara. Asuna came to Yui and hold my hand as Yui looked at her face that is continuously shedding tears. Yui know that he was slowly dying and asked Kenta to bring Asuna away, Kenta of course denied it but Yui told him he don't have enough time which Kenta hurtfully understand.
His friend is dying and this is his dying wish. Asuna disagree and keep saying Yui still can be saved and said she will stay here with him. Yui can see that on her face, she is clingy on a little desperate false hope.
Yui then asked Kenta to brought Asuna away, which of course make her thrashing around begged to be let's go. Kenta dragged her away while keep apologies repeatedly with tears streaming from his eyes, while Asuna kept struggled from Kenta's grip and want to be with Yui.
Yui can only see them walk away while he can only pray that they are safe. He indeed felt grateful for having such a loyal friends, that sometimes make him feel he never worthy of them. Now, here he was dying on the floor all alone while waiting a Shinigami (Death God) to came to take him.
As he about to accepting his Fate, he suddenly see something that he never expected to see.
[ Do you still want to live? ]
[ Die ] [ Live ]
Looking at this screen Yui can't help but laugh dryly. He think his eyes just cause him to have a delusion of some cliche anime moment where MC is give a second chance. Yet, the thought of it make Yui can't help but wish this illusion he see is real for he want live and enjoy his life together with his friends and family.
As last attempt of struggling, he choose [ Live ] option as the screen disappeared. Yui can only chuckle as he feel the ground shaking once more as he see a rumble started to fall toward him. He close his eyes and accepted his Fate.
[ Yui POV ]
Is this the afterlife? I can see anything as everything is pitch black, yet I somehow can feel myself floating and slowly drifted away. Still, to think I still have my conscious is surely something. Is this normal thing to happen though? And is that a piano sound I just heard?
