CHAPTER 8

ROYALE MANSION, MEDORIA

"Khaotung.. what's the situation now?" After deciding the previous issue about his citizens, Kian Tay is now focusing on the issue of his missing brother and his crew.

"Kian.. the space patrol has found the shattered outer pieces of the shuttle in the planet B612. And they haven't found any traces of.. lifeforms.."

"What? No traces of mutanthumans? It's impossible.." Neo asked terrified because if they found the shuttle then where are the people in it?

"Yeah.. but that's what we were answered by them."

"How's that possible, Khao? If they found the shattered shuttle pieces, definitely our people will be near or around that planet.." said Kian Tay.

"What?? Shattered shuttle??" Someone barged into the hall making them petrified.

"Inara..? What are you doing here?" New rushed towards her and held her shoulders in an attempt to calm her down, but it was in vain. As Inara yanked his hold and stepped towards her older brother.

"Brother Tay.. what's happening?? Where is my brother??" Her voice was shaking and a few tears rolled down on her cheeks.

"Inara, you're not allowed inside, during the meeting." Kian Tay reminded her.

"Inara.. calm down. Nothing has happened to Nanon.. he'll be back." New tried assuring her.

"Don't try to fool me, brother New.. I certainly heard him say shattered shuttle.. what happened to him?" She turned and said "Your accountable to me as he's my guardian." She said pointing at Kian.

"Gulf, ask Gemini to take her out" Mew commanded as the situation was going out of their control. Pointing the Kian is something which is a form of disrespect shown to him.

"Inara.. we let you know once we're positive about the situation. Till then no one should know about this.. okay?" First stated to his younger sister.

Inara turned red due to shedding a lot of tears on New's arms. New caressed her back to console her. But her tears flowed endlessly. Her breath hitched after hearing first's words. Kian Tay forwarded his steps towards her. New loosened his grip on her so that Kian Tay can take her in his embrace.

Soon after taking her in his embrace, Inara hugged her brother tightly. The warmth she felt in his arms made her feel calm and safe, somehow reminds her of her pa.. neither she remembers being with him nor know what a fatherly love is because her pa died even before she turned age of 1 and her dad died even before her birth..

Nanon can be her brother.. but Kian Tay was always a father in her eyes. Strict yet caring and supportive. She lost her temper a while ago as her brother-cum-father was not emotionally available towards their lost brother and was only concerned about their citizens as she eavesdropped the previous conversation by leaning at the door.

Kian Tay patted her head softly while holding back his tears. He wants to be strong for her. Even though her thoughts were silent and her mind was calm, Kian definitely know that his sister sees him as a father. But he doesn't want to build that image on her mind as never anyone can take their pa's place. No one can be like their fathers.

"Inara.. I'll bring your.. our brother back. Trust me." Kian Tay reassured his younger, before pulling her out of his embrace. But she snuggled her head into his chest insisting to stay a bit longer.

Kian Tay read it and tightened his hold only to make her feel even more safe in his hold.

The room was filled with absolute silence while the members having a soft smile on their faces as it was a rarest sight for them to see their Kian being empathetic.
