I was bewildered when I walked outside of the Divination Classroom. I do not know what to feel about what Professor Trewlaney has mentioned after class. It made me somehow curious more about my fate and made me want to hunt every detail of the symbol shown in the orb. But the Professor said that the meaning of it can only be found in a book that only experts hold and she told me she only had got a hold of it once but only read some of it.
"Hey," Luna approached me, along with her was Neville and Thomas. She looked concerned, which made me realise that Neville and Thomas had already told her what happened. I guess it wouldn't be just her who would know what happened. It would probably be half of the school, especially when many had witnessed it.
"Neville and Thomas told me what happened." She continued. "Are you alright? They told me you looked pale earlier and speechless."
"I was just quite shocked at what appeared on the orb." I shrugged my anxious mind off my head. "I'm alright. The talk with Professor Trewlaney lightened my feelings quite well." It was a lie.
"What did she say?" Asked Dean as we started to let our feet carry us to the Great Hall for lunch.
"It is best not to talk about it." A light chuckle left my mouth.

The blanket of stars covered the whole of Hogwarts, and the hooting of the owls could be heard from the Owlery. I had another sleepless night this evening and I found myself walking through the quiet corridors of the castle, with Pepper in my arms. He has been clinging to me since I arrived in our dormitory after dinner.
I was making my way to the library to find something to read and to help me sleep. Then I happened to pass by a Notice Board with a lot of announcements pinned on it. But there was only one that captured my eyes.

Seeker? I remember being a seeker before when I was in Beauxbatons. There are a few times I wouldn't be able to get the snitch but many times when I was able to catch it and give our team a victory. My former team was quite sad that I had to transfer school due to some reasons. They would always write to me to keep me updated about the team's victories and losses and express how they missed me in their team.
I missed being a seeker too.
Then a thought came into me. What if I join the team?
"Finally I'll be able to get you to detention." My cat started to hiss, surprised by the sudden voice that I did not wish to hear from every corner of the world.
"Malfoy." I showed how displeased I was to see his presence in front of me. Oh, how I wanted to punch his smug face. I could imagine his tooth falling from his mouth.
"You must've loved getting yourself in trouble, or perhaps love getting the other's attention in the evening." He said ever so proudly. "Perhaps the prefects or the Head boy, I presume. Quite a high standard if you wish to have a relationship with someone with the position."
"Loved getting myself attention?" I scoffed.
He smirked confidently and spoke again, "That is what I said—"
"And yet here you are, trying to get my attention or perhaps as you said, capture your attention as you are a prefect yourself, is it not?"
"Well, I—"
"Perhaps you have come to become obsessed with me?" I love it when he gets tongue-tied.
"No, I am not."
"Then why speak to me every time you see me in the corridors...alone," I stated, staring at him fiercely as I scratched Pepper's head. "Or set your eyes on me like burning daggers. You must've got a plan on committing murder."
"NO!" This made me laugh. "Of course, I called your attention now because... I'm a prefect and...you're a student wandering around the corridor. It is my duty to—"
"I have a library pass, Malfoy." I showed him the library pass while my other was still carrying Pepper. "You should've asked for it to be seen if I were you. You just made yourself quite embarrassing." I laughed and started with my pace, with my back facing him. "Goodbye."
— Draco's POV —
No one has ever truly degraded my pride. She was the first to do so. She was the first to humiliate me, even if it was the only two of us in one place. The way her lips move when she speaks, it's like the devil is controlling her.
I watched her until she disappeared from my sight. Even her cat was displeased by my presence. Although, this was the first time that I knew she had a pet cat. She carried it like a baby. She must have cared for the cat so much. How uncanny it is that the cat could be her child as it was very moody...like her. Even the cat looked at me like he judged my whole soul...again...like her. Why does that cat even have to possess her attitude?
"Mr Malfoy." A voice of a woman called me.
I turned my head and looked behind. Professor McGonagall stood there with her spectacles resting on her nose bridge.
"I believe your rounds are done for the night." She uttered. Her face remained emotionless.
"Ye— Yes, Professor." I stuttered, looking down on the floor to avoid her eyes. I wasn't sure if she was disappointed or mad. I knew she gave me the position of prefect for a good cause. "I just saw a student and thought she was lurking around, but she was not. She has a library pass."
A rather smile appeared on the Professor's lips. I was unaware of what made her smile, slightly somehow. Did I do something wrong?
"I knew appointing you as a Prefect would be perfect. You knew how to handle your job well and perhaps had made you better." She stated. "I knew there's still good inside of you." A light chuckle left her lips as he gently patted my shoulder and took a step. "You best go back to your dormitory. I bid you goodnight, Mr Malfoy." Then there she left, her heels clicking along the corridor until she was out of my sight.
Nervous I was, indeed. I thought we had been caught teasing, or rather bullying, each other. If we were, I would've been stripped out of this position. I didn't want to be a prefect in the first place but now that time has passed, I was getting used to it, getting used to having my own room and getting used to taking a stroll in the evening even when I was on duty.
