Show Palace (An August Alsina Story)

Chapter 1.

"Push!!!!" The Doctors yells, I push my baby out. Soon there's beautiful cries, I lay back covered in sweat!!!

"Here's your beautiful baby boy!!" The doctors pass me my son.

"I'm going to name you Xavier." Tears fall out of my eyes. "Xavier Lyon."

They take him away and clean him up.

// days later //

"Hello Ms.Lyon." A black women dressed in a nice uniform walks in with two other uniformed people.

"Hi how are you." I finish packing my stuff to get ready and go, I'm only 17 with no one, I jump from house to house trying to survive in these Brooklyn streets.

"I'm Child Services and we're here to pick up your newborn!!" She says everything goes silent, I watch as she grabs Xavier in his seat he starts to cry, I scream and fight to get him back but it doesn't work, I fight them all the way outside but they still manage to get away... I drop on the ground and watch as they pull off with my son.... I've lost another one.....

// Present //

"Make sure you drink all your milk so you can be a strong big boy." I rub Xavier's head, he drinks the milk out of the bowl. "Ahhhh, lemme see?"

He shows me the empty bowl.

"See." He licks around his mouth.

"Good Job!" I finish packing his lunch for school.

"Ma can I have a extra juice and fruit snack?" He ask as I put his lunch in his bookbag and place his bookbag on him.

"No, don't be greedy Zae." I turn him around and look at him pout. "But I have something better..."

"What?" He ask.

"We can go to Baskin Robins right after school." I say, his face brightens up.

"We can?" He ask.

"Mmhmm." I nod my head up and down. "And you can get your favorite Cotton Candy Ice Cream!!"

"Yassss!!!" He says, I hear the school bus pull in.

"Come on let's go, I'll race you to the bus." I start running, we both race out the door.

"How you doing Ms.Lyons?." Xavier bus driver smiles, this old man has had a crush on me for the longest.

"I'm good." I smile."Aight sport hop on and remember even though I'm not with you...."

"God is watching and guiding over me for you." He finishes.

"That's my big boy, now gimme kiss." I kiss him and let him go to his seat. The bus pulls off slowly, I wave goodbye and head inside.

"Welcome to class Ms.Lyons I was just letting the class know that we have a quiz tomorrow." My teacher Ms. Cask smiles, she understands why I be late. She's also a single mother with 3 kids.

I take the paper she's giving out and take my seat, she gives this long ass review!! I'm exhausted!!

I'm planning on being a Fashion Designer that's why I came to college but I struggle to pay my college fees and provide for my child and I. Xavier and I live in a one bed room apartment since I can't really afford other things but I live downtown close to my night job which is at the strip club. I'm starting to earn more soo I'm planning on moving to make a better living for my son.

I was given back my son when I turnt 20 since I started dating this dude who had me living pretty so Child Services seen that and they gave me back full custody. That dude was Xavier's real father, he was 29 I didn't want to live with him but I had no where to go and all I wanted was my son.
