Ok wow I was not expecting her to say that, but honestly, it's cool. How hard can boarding even be?
"Okay," I say as I simply shrug which makes my mom angrier, but I continue to go out the door and towards Sebby's house.
I knocked on the door of the neighboring house for it to open and reveal Sebastian standing at the threshold, simultaneously, a scream is heard from my house.
"Shouldn't you go check?" he asks me.
"Nah, it's cool. That's probably my mom screaming because she didn't get a reaction out of me as she planned to when she told me that I am going to a boarding school,"
"What!? Are you going to a boarding school?"
"Yeah, maybe or it could have been something my mom just said out of anger, anyways let's go for that school tour,"
"We can't till my parents come back from their date, so video games instead?"
"Okay goody-two-shoes," I sassily reply which earns me an eyeroll from Seb. We had played Mario Cart and Pacman for almost two hours when Seb's parents came back.
"Oh, hi there," Seb's mom says to me, and I just wave at her awkwardly, thankfully Seb intervenes, "Mom we are going out, might be home late,"
"Woah, slow down bud, who gave you permission for going out?" Seb's dad said while his mother just stifled her chuckle.
"Daaaad, please give me permission to go outside with this poor lonesome soul otherwise known as Zofia who has no other friends than me," Seb says dramatically joining his hands too. Wait, did he just roast me? What the hell?
I smack his arm which makes him wince, "Geez woman have some respect for my parents at least,"
"Just go away both of you," his dad says as he waves us off, "Hey, bud don't trouble Zofia or else I will help her kill you,"
"Thank you, sir," I say smiling at him, as I skip to the door merrily.
"Keys, please," I say to Seb once he has locked the door behind him.
"Why would you want my house keys?" he says playing dumb.
"You, dumb shit, your bike keys,"
"Why would I give them to you? Last time you almost killed me with your driving,"
"Hey, you can have your bike when I leave for boarding," I say making the saddest face I can. I even imagined my mom destroying the best canvas I made and that was enough to make a tear roll down my cheeks.
"Geez, why are you crying? The bike is all yours," he says, fishing out the keys from his pocket and placing them in my hand. Immediately a wide smile spreads on my face which I think resembled no less than the Cheshire cat's smile from Alice in Wonderland, "I made a grave mistake, didn't I?" to which I simply nod, still smiling.
As expected, we reached the school in no time thanks to my great driving.
"So, what's the plan?"
"Time to show your breaking in skills, boy," I say to Seb as I climb onto the outer wall of the ground and hop to the other side.
"ZOFIA? ARE YOU OKAY?"
"Shut up, you moron and climb fast," I tell him in a lowkey whisper contradicting his shouting a few minutes ago. I look around at the dimly lit ground, hell could the school not afford lights? The only light available is from the streetlamps.
A loud thud echoes as Seb falls onto his butt, so much for being a bad boy.
"Wish I recorded this moment," I say out loud.
