"ARGHHHHH" you groan in frustration, turning heads from your fellow peers.
"You alright" a chuckle comes from behind you.
"Just perfect" you seethed.
Your best friend Masaru leans his arm on your shoulder.
"There are no fucking clubs" you groan
Masaru points to a flyer on the bulletin that you were staring at in utter frustration.
"Why don't you join the gaming club, it's filled with losers like you" he slaps your back in laughter
You give him a glare before continuing your search. "This is pointless, there's literally nothing" you were on the verge of just giving up and staying club-less, although your mum would not accept that as an option.
The bell rings just in time saving you from having a mental breakdown and ripping your hair out in the middle of the nekoma corridors.
"Let's go I don't want sir to bum fuck me for being late" Masaru grabs your shoulder peeling you away from the bulletin board. You trudge to class alongside Masaru, staring at the ground with discontent.
You were the only person in this whole damn school who wasn't in a club, and your mum was absolutely getting on your nerves about it with her constant nagging. Everyday she'd ask about your progress in finding one, personally you didn't think being in a club was rather necessary for your school life, but your mum believed the latter.
You thought finding a club would be easy but due to you moving to the school halfway through the year all the good clubs had been filled. You walk into the classroom placing your bag down next to your seat. With a sigh of discontent you lay your head down on your arms.
student chatter is quick to fill the room as more students sat down.
"Karasuno has 2 hot managers and we have zero .... ZEROO" a boy with a Mohawk next to you exclaims waving his arms around who you remembered to be Yamamoto on the volleyball team. The boy whom he seemed to be talking to whom just stared at his game console.
"You know what I'm going to do Kenma"Yamamoto crosses his arms dramatically."What" the boy named Kenma rolled his eyes, bored of the conversation.
"I'm going to convince coach nekomata that we NEED a manager" Yamamoto contently leaned back in his seat.
Volleyball team manager huh. You quite liked the sound of that, it's not like managers had a whole ton of work to do just watched the team play games. You pondered over this idea mulling it over. if you could be the manager for the boys volleyball team it'd stop your mum from nagging you and it seemed like it'd be pretty fun to do. Although it was definitely not your first choice it would be heaps better than being stuck in a stuffy room filled with misogynistic men, that had pus constantly leaking out their pores.
The bell rings, waking you from your slumber. You walk out of the classroom wiping sleep from your eyes to see Masaru waiting for you. You Beemed at him
"What's with you now?" He raises his eyebrows at your sudden change in demeanour
"I found a club to join" you grin widely
He cocks his head initiating for you to continue.
"I'm going to be the volleyball teams manager"
He scoffs at you "can you really be trusted with that much responsibility?"
You give punch him in the shoulder
"Of course I could handle that responsibility, I am very responsible" you cross your arms grinning"Yeah definitely" he smiles "and how is your Guinea pig doing?"
"THAT WAS AN ACCIDENT I DIDNT INTEND TO VACCUM HIM UP" you regret ever telling him that information, as he'd now use it against you at every possible time.
"besides it's not like I'm going to vacuum up the volleyball team"
Chuckling Masaru replies
"Knowing you you'd find a way too"You laugh elbowing him in the side as you continue to walk through the halls.
Everyone stopped, one of the balls dropping to the ground and slowly rolling towards you, as you stood awkwardly in front of the doors that opened into the boys volleyball team
"Hi" you managed to squeak out, the immediate attention from the large group of boys was extremely uncomfortable and was making you squirm.
"Are you lost?" A guy with an extremely bad case of bed hair questions.
"Uh no actually I'm looking for coach nekomata, is he here by any chance?" You scan the room looking for the coach.
"His not here yet, do you need something" the guy walks closer to you holding a volleyball under his arm.
"Oh yeah I just wanted to see if there was a manager position for your team" you replied avoiding eye contact.
You hear a yell of joy coming from the other side of the room.
"KENMA I TOLD YOU ITD WORK, WERE GOING TO HAVE A HOT MANAGER" it was Yamamoto.
Yamamoto is then immediately slapped across the back of his head by another boy who seemed to be way too short to be playing volleyball.
"HEY WHAT WAS THAT FOR" Yamamoto holds his hand against the back of his head.
"Have some decency for god sake, you're so desperate it makes me sad" the short boy replies.
You laughed, so caught up in the drama unfolding, you forgot about the boy standing in front of you
"Coach isn't going to be here for a while probably, but I can pass along the message?" the boy snaps you back into reality
"Yeah that'd be great thanks" you grinned at him
Reaching into your bag you pulled out the crumbled club form that you had filled out in class. He nods at you taking the sheet from your hands before returning to his game.
