"I am Abel Reiss, Descendant of Ymir and an ally of humanity."
Eren wanted to laugh at the monstrosity that came with the woman. 'If this was what a demon looked like then this has got to be a sick joke'. He reminisced of all his years of consuming anything within the genre of horror, thinking it could've desensitized him to whatever atrocities he'd have to face outside the school once he'd escaped, but none could have prepared him for this.
"I am to serve as your protector in this Neverland. Should you allow me to, I will gladly escort you to our sanctuary." She looked a bit older than Erwin was, in Armin's opinion.
A moment of uncertain silence befell with the children passing one another mixed looks over what to make of the woman in front.
"Then why trap us here?" shouted Porco so that the woman may hear from the distance.
"And isn't this the location of B06-32?" added Connie but was nudged in the abdomen by Jean's elbow. The mention of coordinates earned him a couple of glares from the group as this much information should not have been foolishly disclosed, and to a dangerous stranger no less.
The woman, upon their reply, started to walk a few steps closer which agitated Levi as he fired another shot mere inches away from her path. "Stay where you are."
"I mean no harm." she raised both hands in the air as if to surrender to the threat. "And I only did so for you to hear me out."
She looked over her shoulder and to the giant she came with. "I knew once you saw us that you'd immediately run. And I could not risk losing you as you are living proof that William Minerva's plan worked."
This intrigued Mikasa, "You know William Minerva?"
"We are his allies, we share in his cause."
Annie threw the woman back the bag, to Sasha's utter dismay. Starved as she was, she couldn't fault Annie for being cautious of the rations given by the stranger; It was textbook fairytale for the old witch to lure young children with sweets and candies after all, before devouring them in a single bite. How was this any different?
"You eat them first. And drink. Every last crumb and drip."
Abel nodded and began doing what was asked. This gave the children enough time to huddle close and talk amongst themselves of what their next move would be. However, Levi remained unfaltering in his aim, eyes set on every movement Abel made as his grip on the shotgun never did abate.
"I don't trust her one bit." proclaimed Eren with a confidence that earned him a smack from Jean.
"What?"
"Not so loud!"
"Oh look who's being loud–" Mikasa twisted Eren's ear and immediately, the boy quieted down.
"I agree with Eren, but we don't know for sure whether she's lying or not." Zeke grimaced. "In this case we'd have to take a leap of faith and trust her."
