Flickering Love (Mako and OC)

Chapter 13

Today seemed as if Air temple Island was going to change as Mako,Bolin and Asami are going to live on it due to the circumstances of what happened with the pro-bending arena and the Sato mansion. I was helping the Air Acolytes with cleaning some of the rooms to help tidy things up. Tenzin was helping tidy up the boys dormitories,and Pema was making sure there was enough food to feed everyone,which I'm sure there would be since we have a vegetable garden that grows the food we eat. As preparations for the island was finishing up,Korra came to see how I was doing cleaning the room that Asami would be sleeping in.

"Hey!"
"Oh hey!" I said while I finished sweeping.
"It looks good in here."
"Thanks. I want to make sure there isn't much dust in here when Asami arrives."
"Well it looks nice enough in here!"
"Yeah it does. Besides me cleaning are you excited for our friends to come live on the island?"
"Yep. I know you're also excited for Bolin to come and live here too!"

I blushed and turned away. I was excited that he was going to live here,not to mention that we can be able to see each other every day,and maybe go on more dates.

"I know it'll give you some much needed time for one another as well!"
"Oh come on Korra! Me and him have only been dating a week,I don't want to rush into things and neither does he."
"Well...I can respect that."
"I would hope so. But yes,I'm very excited to spend some time with him here on the island."

Once I finished sweeping the room,me and Korra went outside and saw the ship come towards the docks to drop off our friends. The airbending children gathered around us to greet our new guests,including Naga.

"You're finally here! Welcome to Air Temple Island. Your new home!" Said Ikki excitedly.
"Yes welcome to my domain." Meelo said pointing to himself.
"Well aren't you sweet you little monk child." Said Bolin.

He was carrying his duffel bag and Pabu was on his shoulders before he ran off of him and ran in between Meelo's legs.

"What's that fuzzy creature?" Asked Meelo curiously.

As Meelo asked Pabu went towards Nago and stood upright to touch her nose with his paw.

"That is a fire ferret. An arboreal mammal common to the bamboo forests of the central Earth Kingdom." Jinora said giving a small fact about Pabu for Meelo and Ikki.
"He's cute!" Ikki squared in excitement.

After she said that she chased after Pabu and he ran underneath Naga's legs in fear.

"Uh Ikki. Ikki!" I yelled to her.

She heard me and came up to me.

"Yes Nanuq?"
"You've got to be careful with Pabu. He is Bolin's pet after all." I said bending down to her level.
"Oh! I'm sorry Bolin. I didn't mean to chase after him."
"Oh it's okay. Pabu come here buddy!"

Pabu heard his name being called and ran towards Bolin and climbed on top of his shoulders. He bent down a little for Pabu to sniff Ikki. She held out her hand and he liked it. She smiled excitedly as she was able to have Pabu know her scent.

"Pabu you be nice to Ikki,after all we are guests."

He hopped down from Bolin's shoulders and run around near Naga. Meelo was on top of Naga's back and pulling at her ears backwards.

"Yip yip! Fly sky bison fly!"

Me and Bolin chuckled at the display of what he was doing. We went to join back our group of friends.

"Thanks for sending the Air Acolytes to help us with the move." Mako said.
"Yes they've been amazing. Such tireless workers." Asami said praising them.

I looked up to see two of the Acolytes carrying several trunks of luggage down the ramp. I did not think Asami would pack this much but being comfortable is important for this adjustment for her.
