the two enjoyed the free snacks and beverages until chaewon's phone died. she huffed an annoyed sigh and turned to her side, expect yunjin to be asleep. instead, the orange haired girl was looking right at her, the tips of her wars going a dark red when she realised she had been caught staring.

"am i that good looking?" chaewon teased with a laugh, yunjin immediately shook her head and tried to say the excuse she had practiced three hundred times in her mind but all that came out was a string of stuttered words and letters.

"i- you- no- i just- you know what? im done" yunjin huffed and turned to look out the window, chaewon laughed a bit and looked at the girl's side profile.

chaewon had never realised it, but yunjin was really good looking, her eyelashes were so naturally long and curled it made her look like a doll. her nose was tiny but perfectly rounded in all the right places, and her lips were the perfect shade of pink. her jawline wasnt as sharp as some people chaewon knew, but it was still very much visible and just added onto how perfect yunjin looked.

"what? is there something on my face?" yunjin asked while rubbing various spots on her face until those spots went red, then proceeded to take out her phone and check her camera to make sure nothing was wrong with the way she looked.

"no, you just looked really good for a second. then i remembered how ugly you really are" chaewon shrugged and yunjin looked offended, but she was really just offended that chaewon managed to say her excuse perfectly the first time it came out.

"huh?" yunjin muttered, she didnt mean to say that, it slipped out. "what? cat got your tongue?" chaewon teased playfully and yunjin blushed by a bit before hitting chaewon on her shoulder lightly.

"ok! ok! sorry! sorry!" chaewon laughed while yunjin continued to slap her shoulder lightly. the noise caused a few passengers to look at them weird, including kazuha who had a disgusted look stuck to her face.

"you guys are gross" kazuha murmured to herself, catching the attention of the two lovebirds behind her. "oh?" they both said in unison, and in sync the two tilted their heads, causing the already looking passengers to coo at the two and their cuteness.

"yeah you got like the whole plane watching you." kazuha deadpanned which caused them both to look around, and the whole plane was indeed looking at them. "and by the way, you guys argue like a married couple" kazuha winked before turning around and getting back to playing offline games on her phone.

"we do not!" they both slightly yelled at kazuha but realised it was useless since she clearly wasnt listening. "i hate her i really do" yunjin sighed before looking back into chaewon's eyes.

"your eyes are really pretty.." yunjin muttered subconsciously and chaewon let the rosey pink colour spread onto her cheeks while a cat-like smile crept onto her face. "is that so?" she smiled while opening her eyes wider.

"hm?" yunjin almost immediately snapped out her daze and went completely red in the face, "i didnt mean whatever i just said, please ignore it!" yunjin said so quickly it took chaewon a few minutes to decode the words said.

"for an american, you speak korean so quickly" chaewon sighed while watching as yunjin looked at the white clouds again. "thanks" yunjin responded while still keeping her gaze on the white clouds.

"can i ask a question?" chaewon asked so quietly she wasnt sure if anyone heard it. "you already did" yunjin joked while turning to face chaewon, "but fire away." she added.

"why did you not like that girl?" chaewon asked gently, her tone had a motherly feel to it. one that made yunjin fall deeper. "who, heejin?" yunjin questioned and chaewon confirmed it with a nod.

"she used to be my best friend at the start of grade 4 (a/n: for all my brits and possibly aussies its year 5. and yes i did use google for that) and i had told her about my mom. she helped me until the middle of grade four when she told the whole school about my mom." yunjin started, heavily breathing to stop herself from crying.

"that grade was like hell for me. people would laugh and show pictures of their mothers to me as a way to make fun of me. they'd throw things at me and write mean stuff on my desk." yunjin said while her voice cracked slightly towards the end.

"the 'teasing' got so bad they would follow me home and shout rude things at me. they never had a reason for doing that but i guess they just got bored and wanted to have a little fun" yunjin shrugged as a single lone tear rolled down her cheek.

chaewon listened while her face morphed into shock, then anger. "they did that to you?" chaewon whispered. yunjin only nodded, whiping the tear off her face, "im sorry im this emotional, i think my period is coming. im not usually like this" yunjin apologised.

chaewon shook her head, "you have all the right to be emotional. what that weird blond girl did was wrong. and we both know it." yunjin nodded, slowly looking into chaewon's eyes, "and im so so so sorry about what happened with my mom and your mom.." chaewon said lowly.

"it happens" yunjin shrugged again, "that does not just happen!" chaewon almost yelled, yunjin flinched slightly and nodded her head slowly, "damn my bad. its an automatic response.." yunjin responded raising her hands in defeat.

"good. now by the looks of it we got quite a long time to go on this flight. and i cant keep a conversation going for over ten hours. so im gonna head to sleep. is that good with you?" chaewon asked while getting out her aeroplane pillow out. (a/n: its those like circle ones btw, if you dont know what it looks like then please google it😭😭🙏🙏)

"yeah thats ok, im gonna finish up on this movie though." yunjin said while turning her phone back on. "ok, goodnight" chaewon hummed sweetly but when she didnt get a response she turned to yunjin who had her airpods in her ears and was watching the rest of her little movie.

instead of just going to sleep like any normal person would, chaewon tapped yunjin on the shoulder lightly. when that got no reaction, she yanked an airpod out yunjin's ear. "what the fuck?" yunjin mumbled in surprise.

"i said goodnight." chaewon pouted, "cool? i dont care, now give back my airpod" yunjin said as if she wasnt just crying to the same girl she considered her 'enemy' a few seconds ago. "not until i get a goodnight back." chaewon stated.

"why would need one anyways? its not like your five or something" yunjin shrugged nonchalantly, slowly trying to get her airpod back. but chaewon wasnt blind or stupid, she saw yunjin's hand move every now and then.

"ill give if back if you answer me" chaewon said teasingly, yunjin puffed then rolled her eyes "ok goodnight you big baby. there happy?" yunjin said annoyed as she tried to get her airpod back.

chaewon placed a finger on her chin teasingly, then looked at yunjin who had given up and just played her movie with only one airpod in her ear. "fine, party pooper" chaewon muttered while giving yunjin her airpod back.

turning away from the occupied girl, chaewon let her eyes flutter until they had fully shut and she had drifted off into a peaceful dream.
