A Day as a Transfer Employee

Y/N's POV:

I was stapling the papers together to arrange them in different files while sitting on my desk.

Just then I heard Mr. Lee's voice.

"When do you want to finish working like this? Hurry up!"

I turned my head to see Mr. Lee standing behind me.

Does he want me to be the bullet train then? How fast should I do? I'm already doing it fast.

I just nodded.

After a few minutes, I again heard Mr. Lee calling me.

"Y/N! The water?"

"Ah! The water! Sorry I forgot." I replied and stood up from the chair.

I went to the room where there were many large bottles of water.

Aish! Why do I need to do this?

"Of course to feed that brat." My inner voice replied.

I rolled my eyes on the thought of him.

I ran my eyes around the room to choose one. I went towards the nearest one as I'm too lazy. I want the work to be minimum. But it's just increasing day by day!

I tried to pick it up, but it was very heavy.

I applied more force and picked it up. I supported it by my shoulder.

Then I exited the room and went  went near the water system with that water cannister in my hands and fitted it on the water system.

"It was really heavy!" I said to myself while trying to catch breath.

Now I need a coffee after doing this much work.

I headed towards the coffee machine. The ways of this building are really confusing. But that's good, I'm not a stranger to thus company. So I know these ways.

I opened the container of coffee beans to take out some but suddenly a hand stopped mine and I heard a voice.

"Don't drink this."

I looked at my side to see Jisoo eonnie there.

"Unni?"

Author's POV:

Jisoo and Y/N were sitting on the bench in the company's garden with  disposable cups of coffee in their hands.

"The coffee in the longue is the supply of company. According the rule, transfer employees like us shouldn't drink it." Jisoo said.

"There are rules like that?" Y/N asked. She felt it a little strange.

"No, but they'll be giving you looks if coffee beans run out." Jisoo replied.

"That's unfair. We work the same." Y/N said and took a sip of her coffee.

"We may but, we're strangers to them." Jisoo said.

"Gosh! How cheap!" Y/N said while shaking her head in disbelief.

Y/N's gaze went to her watch.

"It's lunchtime." Y/N said while standing up from the bench.

"Oh, let's go." Jisoo said.

As Y/N and Jisoo arrived at the front of the cafeteria, Jisoo spoke while pointing at a board, "Y/Nah! First look at that."

"Huh? What's that? Isn't lunchtime at 11:30? What the hell do they want us to do?" Y/N said in frustration as she saw the board.

"As the result of congested cafeteria, transfer employees, business partners and visitors will eat from 12:30. Lunch cost 5000won (~4.42$)  for these people." The board showed.

"What does that mean? Isn't it supposed to be 2500won (~2.21$)?" Y/N asked.

"Do you think Nayo is a charity? They will never give benefits to the people of other companies." Jisoo replied.

Y/N rolled her eyes while facing that board.

Y/N and Jisoo were having their lunch sitting on a bench together.

"We're completely different, starting from this." Jisoo said while showing her entrance pass.

"Ther full time and contract employees have an ID card, but we have an entrance pass." Jisoo said further. Then she took a bite of the rice.

"But we can only enter the office which we work in, even though it's called an entrance pass." Jisoo said.

"We can't even go to refrence room or supply room. The how are we supposed to work?" Y/N asked.

"We are just supposed to figure it out. So, that's why I repeatedly stressed this. Endure with the joy that you get paid on time." Jisoo said.

"On time." Y/N mumbled while nodding.

Jung Hoseok was reading the letter in his hand.

"See? Taehyung just disappeared on his own. He'll crawl back when he's tired of playing around. So let's close the investigation." CEO Choi said.

"Is it really his handwriting?" Hoseok asked while rubbing his chin.

"Dasha confirmed. She said that, as his girlfriend, she knows his handwriting best." Namjoon replied.

"There's something suspicious." Hoseok said while rubbing his chin.

"Suspicious? Your face is more suspicious. Investigator, can you stop running around and stay still?" CEO said.

"Where is Sim Dasha right now?" Hoseok asked.

"Please tilt your head a little to right and smile." The cameraman said to Dasha.

She did as she was asked and he clicked the picture.

"Taehyung just announced his temporary break, right? You must feel hurt as his girlfriend." The interviewer said.

"I made him do it. He was looking like he was having such a hard time. He listens to my words well." Dasha said while tucking her hair strand behind her ear.

"Really? Then when is he going to come back?" She asked.

"Well......he just said he would support me while he's on break." Dasha said.

"The truth is that I might be in a movie soon. Should I talk about that?" Dasha further said.

"Later on. Anyways, it's your third year of dating him. You must still be passionately in love with Taehyung." The interviewer said.

"Oh us? Don't mention it. He's still super sweet like honey and no joke. He's not interested in any other woman besides me." Dasha replied with a smile.

Y/N climbed the stairs of her house. She was so tired after the whole day.

"You're here?" Jungkook asked seeing her.

She asked, "How was my cousin today?"

"He did go over the exercise time, but there were no other problems." He reported.

She nodded.

"Keep record of your pay." She said and turned to leave.

"Wait! Here, take this." Jungkook said.

She turned around to see Jungkook with a bouquet of flowers in his hand.

"Huh? Why this?" She asked being amused.

"Let's just say it's a business transaction for an employer, or is symbol of respect of a employee for his employer." Jungkook said and flashed a smile.

"Oh....alright, then I'll be off." She said and left.

Jungkook was looking at her disappearing back.
