In the quiet stillness of the night, the barn was enveloped in a peaceful aura. The stars twinkled in the night sky, casting a soft glow through the windows. Inside the barn, the older goats slept peacefully, their gentle snores echoing softly.

Namjoon, Hoseok, and Yoongi, the vigilant Kangal breed dogs, were curled up in their favorite corners of the barn, ready to guard their beloved goats. They closed their eyes, hoping for a peaceful night's sleep after a hectic morning schedule.

Yoongi stretched himself out with a soft whine and let out a satisfied sigh when he felt his bones crack. He went limp in an instant, exhausted after the long day, and let his eyelids fall shut, eager to catch up on much needed sleep.

But his hopes were shattered as soon as he heard the mischievous giggles of the baby goats.

Jimin, Taehyung, and Jungkook, the adorable baby goats of the Bangtan Livestock, were far from sleepy. Being the youngest among the livestock, their energy was ten times greater than the older goats in the barn. And from the giggles, Yoongi knew that they were far from sleepy.

Yoongi cracked an eye open and sure enough as he predicted the baby goats were full of energy, bouncing around the barn with boundless enthusiasm. Their tiny hooves pattered against the wooden floor as they played a game of tag, their laughter filling the air.

Namjoon lifted his head wearily, his eyes filled with gentle exasperation. He gave a soft bark, but it held a note of authority.

"Guys, it's time to sleep. You need your rest."

But the baby goats paid him no heed. Jimin, with his fluffy white coat, darted past Namjoon, giggling as he hoped over the large dog's outstretched paw. Taehyung and Jungkook followed suit, their tiny tails wagging with excitement.

Hoseok let out a resigned sigh, his ears drooping slightly. Hyper baby goats was the last thing he wanted to deal with after a long day.  "Come on, guys. Doesn't a good nap sound wonderful?" he pleaded, his brown eyes filled with gentle affection.

Jungkook, the youngest of the three goats, bounded up to Hoseok, his eyes sparkling.

"But Hyung, we're not sleepy! Can't we play just a little longer?" he asked, innocently with a small pout.

"I'll never understand how they can play all day and still have this much energy at night," Yoongi sighed, twisting himself to face the barn wall. He decided he would leave Hoseok and Namjoon to deal with the hyper babies, not at all bothered by the glare Hoseok gave him as he settled in a comfortable position and dozed off.

Seokjin, the Border Collie, watched the scene unfold with amusement. He chuckled softly as he watched the baby Goats hop over Yoongi, trying to balance themselves over his body, their tiny hooves trembling. He laughed when Yoongi let out an annoyed huff, causing the baby goats to topple over to the floor with hearty giggles.

Namjoon glanced towards Seokjin with a pleading look. Seokjin chuckled as he got onto all fours.

"Take a nap. I've got them."

"Thank you," Namjoon mouthed with a tired smile, curling up into a corner with a soft sigh. Hoseok followed suit.

With a gentle woof, Seokjin padded over to the baby goats, his tail wagging in encouragement.

"Come here, little ones. Hyung's got a game for you."

"Hyung's playing?" Taehyung squealed happily.

"Yes, now come on."

The baby goats' eyes lit up.

"Okay, Hyung! Let's play!" Jimin exclaimed, his fluffy tail wagging happily.

"Ahh, but this is a different kind of a game."

"What kind?" Jungkook asked, wagging his tail.

"Hmm, the kind that leaves us with a single winner."

Jimin's eyes went wide with excitement.

"A competition!"

"Indeed," Seokjin chuckled.

"I'mma win!" Jungkook stated, confident.

"No, you shall not," Taehyung huffed in disagreement.

"Whoever wins gets a surprise from me tomorrow morning," Seokjin informed.

Jimin wiggled with excitement.

"Hyungie, what's the game?"

Seokjin held back a smirk.

"It's a simple game but it's a hard one to win. You think you can do it?"

"Yes," the three cried out and Seokjin gently shushed them.

"Alright, we'll see which one of you wins this then. The game is simple, like I said. What you've got to do is settle down and close your eyes. The one who can go the longest without making a sound, wins."

Just as Seokjin predicted, the baby goats excitedly wagged their tiny tails. He knew well that all three of them were competitive and would fall head over heels for any game that included competition.

"Yes, hyung!"

"Well, then? What are we waiting for? I'mma count to three. Settle down and close your eyes, alright? I'mma see who goes the longest without any movement or sounds. And whoever does will be the winner."

"And the winner will get a surprise!" Taehyung reminded, bending forward to rest against the wooden, hay covered floor.

"Indeed," said Seokjin, "now settle down."

"I'mma win," Jungkook said, wiggling a little in his spot before he finally settled down.

The three baby goats closed their eyes and remained silent, Seokjin holding back a chuckle over how he easily he managed to lure them into his trap.

The time slowly ticked by. Not a sound nor a movement from the baby goats, all eager to win. Seokjin wasn't sure how long he waited but soon enough, he heard soft, gentle snores from each of them, successfully getting them to fall asleep.

He chuckled softly, looking over them fondly.

"Baby goats," he muttered softly to himself, shuffling closer to them and ensuring that each of them were pressed up against the warmth of his fur and at the same time, cautious not to accidentally wake them.

With a satisfied smile, Seokjin settled down once more, face against his paws, the soft sounds of the sleeping baby goats filling the air. In the quiet stillness of the night, peace reigned once more at Bangtan Livestock.
