Adeline pov:
This was the most awkward ride that I have ever gotten. Everything was so silent. My professor was tapping his fingers on the steering wheel whereas I was so nervous that I couldn't even think straight. "Adeline, do you have any friends at school?" Killian asks out if blue, "no, sir. I dont have any friend in school." I mumbled and stared down at my thighs. What do I have a small bruise over my knee as if I knelt down somewhere and my head is throbbing either pain. What is wrong with me?
Killian nods, "people at your school are not good, adeline. I suggest that you shouldn't make friends there." Killian says. He is weird.
I nod, "Okay, sir." I mumbled.
We reached the school and killian opened my side car door. I get out of the car and turn to killan, "thank you for the ride, professor" I bowed to him. He nodded at me.
I was sitting in my class, alone, attending the lecture which was being given by none other than killian. I wrote down the stuff that he wrote on the board when suddenly a paper ball hit my hand. I turned sideway and stared at it and then the person who threw it, Ava. I picked up the note and read it under my bench. "Where is chloe? Wasn't she at your house yesterday?" That was the note.
I frowned and turned my head towards Ava, "no." I whispered while shaking my head. She gave me a confused look and then just nodded before going back to her work. What the hell of a day it is.
I was sitting in my room, reading a book when suddenly my doorbell rang. I stood up and went towards the door, opening it. "Professor killian? What are you doing here at this late?" I asked and made way for him to enter my house, to which he continued and entered my house without any word.
He sat on the couch and I stood near it, "what is it?" I asked softly and then my gaze turned towards his shirt top buttons and they were right now open unlike any other times. Killian stared at me, "do you remember what happened yesterday, adeline?" He asked. Same question from before, "no, I don't and I don't know why. I guess it's just..." I stopped myself from revealing my hypersensitivity problem. "Your sense?" Killian whispered but this time his voice sounded way more darker than before. I was speechless and just stared at him.
But then my gaze again went towards his shirt and his chest way more visible than ever before. That's when my sight landed on the scars on his chest, many scares and that doesn't look normal to me. And a tattoo to which I can't properly see. "Why is that?" I whispered, unable to hide my curiosity anymore.
I watched killian gulp and he quickly buttoned up his shirt, "nothing, adeline. It's nothing. You should learn to be in your circle. Curiosity is not always good." Killian whispered in a low tone and stared at me as if he is lost or out of words or desperate or I don't know.
I nodded. Something is wrong, definitely wrong here. A professor can't get scars which kind of looked like knife stabs and a professor wouldn't come to his student's house at the middle of the night. Then I remembered his question about me remembering yesterday. Why and how does he know about my sensitivity? Suspicious.
Killian pov:
Oh no, I guess she is suspicious of me. I have to do it today itself. I can't wait no longer.
"Do you want something to drink? Cold drink to soft drinks or something like that?" Adeline asks me but I can clearly feel her suspiciousness inside her. And no! Anything acidic can turn the medicine and the effect might go off. I have to stop her for just one more night. Then she will be mine.
"No, it's okay. I will get just water." I said and locked eyes with her. Oh god, I can't describe how beautiful her mismatched eyes are, how much I love to stare at them.
She nods and walks to he kitchen. Now is the time to start my plan. I quickly stood up from he couch and moved faster but silently like a panther to her room. I picked up her diary which is always kept on her night table and threw it out the window.
I rushed back to the couch and sat like nothing happened.
She bought glasses of water and...lemons!?
"I think we should try out lemonade today!" Adeline said cheerfully and kept them on the table. She liked lemonade alot because that's the only thing that she knew how to make.
I panicked at the sight, "no no, I'm allergic to lemons." I said without thinking much as I just need some kind of excuse to excuse her from drinking this acid or lemon.
"Oh it's okay, I like them so I drank them at the kitc-", I cut her off "what!?"
