It was quiet in the attic, AKA my room. It was only 3 in the afternoon on a Saturday, and I was already becoming sleepy from boredom. Despite having my resources such as reading mangas, manhwas, or watching anime, it wasn't enough to entertain me.
Aimlessly staring at my ceiling, with posters of anime characters and bands, I couldn't help but be reminded of the feeling of Cole's lips on mine. His lips were so soft and warm that they left a lingering sensation against my lips. A feeling that somehow made me long for his touch. And the more I thought about him, the more the feeling in my chest grew. How my heart raced just at the thought of him.
But I knew what I was feeling right now was wrong. After what happened to Cole the past week, I was afraid it might occur again. Afraid he might lose his life this time. Who knows what would happen to Cole? Ian already did a number on him, beating him up, and leaving him with a broken arm. If the person who had done this was Adolf, he might have killed him all because I confessed my feelings for him.
I let out a groan, burying my face into the pillow as a way to seek comfort.
Why is loving someone this dangerous?
I tried to push Cole away, tried to lose contact with his friends, but he kept coming back. The more he tried to be in my life, the more my feelings for him grew. I was told to never fall in love, all because death might befall them, but with Cole? I want to risk it and be with him.
Through the course of the week, Cole and I had been spending time together. It wasn't face-to-face, but rather more on online chat and gaming. And from that alone, my feelings for him grew. From chats to late-night calls, just hearing his voice before I slept made me want to be with him more. With him now in my life, I don't enjoy being alone as much as I used to.
As I lay in bed, my phone suddenly dinged. I didn't waste a single second and grabbed my phone, hoping it was Cole who messaged, but my excitement met with disappointment when the person who messaged me was a just spam number.

I sighed and tossed my phone to the side.
I hate to admit it, but I do miss Cole. He's out with his dad for his doctor's appointment, and here I am, lying in bed like a desperate puppy waiting for her owner. It's ironic to think that I, a werewolf, am legitimately waiting for my master.
Once again, my phone dinged but this time, I didn't check. There were so many spam messages that had been circulating that I didn't want to get my hopes up. But the more I try not to message, there's this feeling inside of me that keeps telling me to check it. With that, I decided to check it. Grabbing my phone, I looked at the message displayed on the lock screen, and a bright smile formed on my lips.
It was Cole.

The feeling of excitement rushed to my brain and I sat up on my bed, unlocking my phone to message back.
Y/N: Nothing much
Y/N: How's the doctor's appointment?
Bushy Eyebrows: Where you at
Y/N: At my bed
