Getting Along..

It's been a week since the meeting with Mr Dev Dixit. Sonakshi finally got some peaceful time after signing dozens of files. She called home but no response as usual. She hates being free as it is boring to pass the time alone. But this time she had Dev in her mind. It wasn't like that she started to like him it just that he was irresistible.

Around 1pm she calls Dev, he doesn't respond. She tried calling his PA. Ishwari enterprises, how may I help you, said Tina on the line. Mr Dixit se baat ho sakti hai? Asked Sonakshi. Tina questions, kya main jaan sakti hun ki aap kon baat kar rahe hain? Sonakshi pastes her introduction, Dr Sonakshi Bose, Food and Technology Limited. Tina greets her firmly. Good afternoon Mr Dixit abhi free hain? Asks Sonakshi. Tina informs her that Dev is busy in a conference meeting if there's something important she'll revert. No..No! It's alright, Thanks, said Sonakshi. Have a nice day ma'am, greeted Tina, conversation ends.

Tina enters Dev's cabin. He was on a call with an investor after the conference, Hold on Mr Mehta, Yes Tina! Tina informs Dev that Miss Bose had called. An unknown smile formed on Dev's face, Kuch kaha unhone? Asked Dev. Nahi Sir kuch specific toh nahi just to let you know and Mr Gujral aapki family ke saath dinner karna chahte hain, Tina informed Dev. He asked Tina to leave as he'll talk to Mr Gujral personally. He hangs up the call with Mr Mehta and the details will be shared shortly.

There was happiness reflecting on his face as he immediately called Sonakshi. Hi! I hope you wasn't busy?  Sonakshi asked. Nahi Aisa kuch nahi hai, aapne call kiya tha Miss Bose? Dev questions Sonakshi. Yeah.. actually, Sonakshi gets lost in her thoughts as she ponders over if she should speak or not; (Kaise bolun direct puchhna bhi achha nahi lagta) On the other side confused Dev was trying to figure out what's happening and asks Hello? Dr Bose? Sonakshi who was still lost but had some sense then replied, Haan.. Curiousity to know why she called out of sudden was increasing and Dev said, Kya hua? Kaha kho gayi aap? Finally she came out of her thoughts No..What??  Reliefed Dev explained I mean, aap kuch keh rahi thi and ek dum se ruk gayi so..,  Sonakshi hesitatingly asks, Yeah, woh..aapne..lunch kar liya? It felt strange to Dev as a business professional is  asking him if he had lunch? Was it the reason for the Highest Ranking Nutritionist to Call a Tech Businessman? He replied, Nahi.. Sonakshi had a great job with excuses although it wasn't an! Great! Can I join you for lunch? Actually mere paas kuch ideas bhi Hain discuss karne ke liye and I can't wait till our next meeting. Dev seemed quite convinced and ask her if she would like to join him for lunch at home. Sonakshi quickly agrees as she loved the last meeting and even enjoyed their company. Dev asks her at what time he can pick her up but she denies Nahi..main.office mein nahi hun, direct wahi aati hun. Dev agrees and Conversation ends. Sonakshi thinks about her words with Dev (Maine jhoot kyu bola? Kya ho raha hai, but achha hi hai otherwise woh yahan aate and next headlines hoti business partners Bane life partners ,😆) she blushes while she imagine her theories.

Dev and Sonakshi enters Ishwari Niwaas. Namaste Aunty ji !  Sonakshi greets Ishwari as she replies, Namaste beta, aap aa rahi thi toh bta dete, Dev!!? Sonakshi makes a sad pouty face, it's okay main wapis chali jaati hun. Nahi mere kehne ka woh matlab nahi tha, ishwari says and tends to be worry as Dev defends her, Haan Miss Bose, maa ka koi intention nahi tha aapko hurt karne ka, he tries to be apologetic. Sonakshi chuckles in mind and pops the bubble, par hurt toh kiya.. main aapse chhoti hun hun aur phir bhi aap mujhe 'aap' keh kar bula rahe ho, main aapse Milne aayi thi aur aapne toh mujhe paraya hi kar Diya, as hearing sonakshi's words Dev got to chill and Ishwari sighs with relief, mujhe maaf karna aap.. tum Dev ke saath kaam karti ho toh,.. Aunty ji kaam toh Mr Dixit ke saath bahut saare log karte hain but anyways bahut bhukh lag rahi hai, says Sonakshi as the three of them heads towards the dining table.

Dev and Sonakshi join his sisters on the lunch table. Nikki gets excited to see Sonakshi and felt guilty as she saw her brother coming as well. Both settle down to the table. Nikki tries to rectify her action, Hi! And sorry last time ki confusion ke liye. Sonakshi gives a not to worry look and starts the lunch. Sonakshi was busy enjoying the food when Dev ask her about the ideas she wanted to share. Mouthfilled Sonakshi was not able to answer and cursed herself for making excuses for lunch but then Ishwari interrupted, Arrey beta abhi koi kaam ki baat nahi, Dev tu Shanti se nahi kha sakta. Now it was Riya who spoke, nahii maa bhaiya ko na bass har waqt kaam hi karna hota hai. As of course she witness her brother being stuck to his work all the time. Putting an end to this middle lunch conversation Ishwari says, Chalo ab bass sab aaram se khana khao. Just a moment later Neha was passing by the dining area. Ishwari calls out Neha to join in for lunch but none she knew about her mood. Neha replied, aap sab khao mere hone na hone se kisi ko kya hi farq padta hai yaha. Dev and Ishwari look at each other then at Sonakshi. Sonakshi feels bit awkward so she decides to focus on her meal. Dev calmly speaks, Neha kaisi baatein kar rahi hai aaja na. Neha says nearing the dining area, aaj aap itne pyaar.. she stopped as she saw an unknown person sitting on the dining table having lunch with her family and feels guilty and apologize angrily, she rushes to her room and shuts the door tightly which made dev angry but he had to respect his surrounding, please don't mind woh thodi si naraz hai, dev tries to explain it to Sonakshi as she gulps the last bite, naraz nahi hai disturbed hai ya shayad pareshan but anyways yeh aapka personal matter hai I should not interfere, says Sonakshi with assurance of comfort. Lunch was over Sonakshi tends to leave quietly, she rushs to her car and ask driver to take her to the office.

In the car Sonakshi decides to text dev, HI, MUJHE WOH WAQT SAHI NAHI LAGA. KABHI OFFICE MEIN MILKAR DISCUSS KAR LENGE.
Dev:- JO KUCH BHI HUA USKE LIYE I AM SORRY. I WILL ARRANGE THE MEETING SOON.
Sona:- YOU DON'T NEED TO BE. PROBLEMS TOH SAB KE GHARO MEIN HOTI HAI. I UNDERSTAND.
Dev:- THANKS BYE!
Sona:- BYE
Sona:- (bewajah hi sabko pareshan kiya. Kya zarurat thi jaane ki. Kitna awkward feel kar rahe the sab. Kya Neha bhi mere jaise.. nahi.. nahi aunty ji loves her children, Mr Dixit? Kuch bhi ho yeh unka personal matter hai and I should not interfere). :)
