CHAPTER : 5 (E)

They arrived at the elementary school.

"Where are we?"
Yuta asked. 

"It's just an elementary school." Gojo replied.

"Huh?"

"Just an elementary school where some children have gone missing." Gojo inform him with a smile on his face.

"Missing!?"
The black-haired guy said with a shocked tone.

"It happens in places like this.
It's probably the work of naturally-occuring curse."
Gojo explained to Yuta.

Kokomi didn't pay much attention to their interaction, so she just looked away as she closes her eyes and having a flashback.

Flashback time :

"Akane! Akane! Akane, please don't die like this please I'm begging you!"
13-year-old Kokomi shouts with tears streaming down her face.

Her sister, Akane. Badly injured after fighting a special grade cursed spirit, there was no way she would make it out alive.

Kokomi grabbed her sister's hand and placed it on her right cheek as the hand grew cold.

Akane's eyes with tears slowly began to close.

"Akane!!!"
Kokomi screamed.

End of flashback :

"-komi? Kokomi!"
A familiar voice called her.

Kokomi opened her eyes and saw Maki in front of her.

"Are you okay?"
The green haired girl asked the other girl with a worried tone.

"Yeah, I'm okay. Don't worry."
Kokomi state as she wiped her tears.

"It's turning into night?"
Yuta questioned.

"It's a veil."
Kokomi whisper to him as her face leaning close to his ear.

'She's too close!'
Yuta thought as a blush spreading on his face.

"It's a barrier that will smoke out the curse
and keep you all from being seen by those outside."
Gojo continued

"It's easy to undo from inside. Now, so be careful......

not to die."
Gojo announce making Yuta shocked at his word.

"D-Die? Sensei?!"
Yuta called him, but it's too late, the veil already close.

"Transfer student"
Maki called him.

Don't get distracted."
Maki said while adjusting her position.

Three cursed spirits can be seen by them.

"qUT... mɘ... oᴎ?"
The curse groan as it opens its chest.

Yuta stumbled out of fear.

"qUT mɘ oᴎ?"
The cursed groaned again as a tongue came out from its chest.

The three cursed spirit run towards them.

"I-It's coming this way!"
Yuta shout in fear.

"Wh-Wh-What do we do?!"

"Don't scream."
Maki said as she run toward the three curses.

"Remember this.
The weaker curses are,

the more they group together"
Maki explained before she sliced three of the cursed spirit in one blow.

"Of course, the same could be said for humans."

'Incredible...
Just one blow...'
Yuta thought, amazed by the girl's strength.

"Come on, let's move it."
Maki said to the white clothes guy.

''Kokomi has never been this quiet before.....'
Maki thought as she walked into the school
