The picnic blanket became a battlefield of crumbs as everyone devoured Shizuka's delectable cookies. Laughter filled the air, a mix of nervous tension and genuine camaraderie. Nobita stole glances at Dekisugi, his heart pounding a frantic rhythm against his ribs. He yearned to know what Dekisugi was about to say before their conversation was derailed.

Shizuka, oblivious to the undercurrent of emotions, chattered about upcoming school events, her bright smile momentarily pushing Nobita's worries aside. Suneo, emboldened by the relaxed atmosphere, tried (and failed spectacularly) to impress Gian with his juggling skills. Even Gian, usually gruff and reserved, couldn't help but chuckle at Suneo's fumbling attempts.

As the sun began its descent, casting an orange glow across the park, Shizuka announced it was time to head home. But before anyone could move, Nobita cleared his throat, gathering everyone's attention.

"Actually," he said, his voice surprisingly steady for someone whose stomach felt like a knot of butterflies, "there's something I need to say to Dekisugi."

The air crackled with anticipation. Shizuka and Suneo exchanged curious glances, while Gian raised an eyebrow, a hint of amusement playing on his lips. Dekisugi, the focus of Nobita's attention, met his gaze, a mix of hope and trepidation reflected in his eyes.

"Alright, Nobita," Dekisugi said, a nervous smile gracing his lips. "We're all ears."

Taking a deep breath, Nobita poured out his heart. He confessed his confusion after the Love Finder incident, his fear of rejection, and ultimately, the truth - the way Dekisugi's smile made his heart skip a beat, the way spending time with him felt so natural and easy. He ended with a simple, heartfelt plea, "Dekisugi, I... I really like you."

A hush fell over the group as Nobita finished his confession. The weight of unspoken words hung heavy in the air. Then, Dekisugi began to speak, his voice soft but resolute.

"Nobita," he said, "to be honest, I was confused too. The way you acted after our weekend made me question things. But..." he paused, his eyes searching Nobita's, "the truth is, I like you too. A lot.

Nobita's cheeks burned even hotter. This was all surreal, like a dream come true. He stole a glance at Dekisugi, who was gazing at him with a newfound intensity.

A wave of relief washed over Nobita, warm and sweet. His confession, delivered with a pounding heart and trembling voice, had been reciprocated. He couldn't help but grin, a genuine smile that stretched from ear to ear.

Suneo, ever the drama queen, clapped his hands in delight. "Aww, that's so cute! I knew it!" He nudged Gian with his elbow, a mischievous glint in his eyes. "See, Gian? I told you there was something between them!"

Gian, who had been watching the exchange with a surprisingly neutral expression, simply grunted. "Whatever. Just don't get all mushy on us, okay?"

Shizuka, despite her initial surprise, beamed at Nobita and Dekisugi. "Congratulations, you two! I'm so happy for you."

As the sun dipped below the horizon, painting the sky in hues of orange and pink, Nobita stood shoulder-to-shoulder with Dekisugi. The cherry blossoms, once a symbol of his unrequited love for Shizuka, now held a new meaning. They were a testament to the blossoming affection between him and Dekisugi, a love story that had bloomed under the delicate pink petals.

The future stretched before them, a canvas yet to be painted. There would be challenges to overcome, misunderstandings to navigate, and maybe even a jealous Gian or two to deal with. But in that moment, under the canopy of cherry blossoms, Nobita and Dekisugi stood together, hand in hand, ready to face whatever came their way, their hearts filled with the promise of a love story just beginning.
