Days later

A few days passed. Aadhya was in second year now. She was feeling sick these days. Stomach cramps nausea and so on . She thought it was all normal and she might have some viral flue or something. But one day a strange thing happened. She felt like vomiting and what she saw left her stunned.... Blood with some petals

"What's these???" Aadhya exclaimed a little loudly. No one was home so she didn't felt like sharing it and that too without any medical report. She decided to visit a nearby hospital next day . She washed off everything and left no hint of these .
"Blood with flower petals??? What's kind of disease I have now !!!" She said to herself. She decided not to tell anyone neither her parents nor Kabir or her friends.

Next day at hospital

" Could you please repeat once again??" Asked the doctor.
" For so many days I was feeling uneasy and yesterday I felt like vomiting. I saw blood with petals in my vomit .... What kind of disease it can be doctor?? " Aadhya asked .
" We'll took some tests but the symptoms are clearly of 'Hanahaki Disease' . " Doctor said .
" Hana- what? " The disease aadhya failed to pronounce... Now she's suffering from this .
" Yess Hanahaki "
" What's this... Is it dangerous... How it occurred what's the cure doctor?? " Aadhya said in one go . Doctor laughed a little the way she was asking was just like a baby .
But next moment she felt sad for her .
" It's a disease that causes a flower plant to bloom into your lungs . At initial phase we see blood with petals in our vomit . After the plant slowly starts growing it suffocates us. Resulting in short breathe. "
" Can't it be cure?? " Aadhya asked worriedly.
" Yess it can be but you should know the reason behind this disease first "
" What's it?? " Aadhya asked .
" It's a diesase that occurs when the one we live doesn't reciprocate our romantic feelings. It's a disease mostly occurs in one-sided lovers . Curing is easy .... Either your partner start to love you back with the same amount and you'll be cured or we have to do a surgery to take out the plant. But if we took out the plant your every romantic feelings will be
Finished. You'll no longer feel anything for anyone else " doctor completed

But I have a boyfriend and he loves me alot how can be it happen doctor. " Aadhya asked confusedly.
" Aadhya if what you're saying is correct than I don't know how it happened with you.... I think there's something going on and you really don't have any idea "
" What do you mean doctor?? "
" If your boyfriend loves you alot then there is no chance for this disease aadhya . I think there's something he's hiding. You need to find out this because only then we'll be able to find out your cure" as soon as doctor finished... Aadhya got up to leave.
" Wait... Aadhya !! " Doctor called out her ...
" Yess ??? "
" We need your ultrasound to get a proper view of your lungs ... We have to predict how many days you're left with because the plant grows really fast and we can't delay your treatment " completed doctor
" Yeahh sure " ...
X-ray was done . The reports were told to be given next day .
*Cough cough*
" Aadhya !!! "Doctor shouted
"Petals... You're coughing petals aadhya . " She pointed towards Aadhya's hands which were having petals in them .
"Y-yes doctor" aadhya weakly said .

"Aadhya I think it's really serious.. I'm giving you some medicines but first go and find out the truth " doctor worriedly said .
" Yess doctor "
Aadhya left the hospital. It was evening so she decided to face Kabir next morning.

Later ... Morning

She got called in hospital in early morning. She reached the hospital.
"Aadhya here is the report. You can see it by yourself"
"Is it okay to see??" Aadhya asked concerned
"It's not but it's your right to see your condition" doctor replied.
As soon as Aadhya saw that the reports slipped out of her hand shattering then on the floor.
"It's -"
"Critical!!" Doctor completed her sentence.

Aadhya looked at the doctor and the doctor nodded her head .
" It's critical now ... You don't have much time left with your life ... The way these flowers blossomed is really serious. "
Aadhya started crying... Why?? Because she find herself in between the life and death . Death?? She didn't deserve any of these.... What she did?? The only sin she committed was falling in love with a guy . The guy she love more than herself is now the reason of her death . But she wasn't sure and decide to confront Kabir . She left the hospital with the reports.
Calling Kabir she asked his whereabouts.
" I'm currently out of the city due to some issues I'll be back in a day or two.... " He replied. Aadhya remained silent .
" Are you okay mia cara?? " He asked when he felt she didn't replied.
" Y-yess" she stutter but replied
" I'll be back fast then you can talk whatever you want hmn?? " He said and she replied with a small" okay" and hung up the call. Kabir found it strange but shrugged off .

Aadhya was feeling hurt . She opened the chat box of her and Kabir . She started to tear up seeing her talks with Kabir . They were happy right?? What went wrong between them ? Her eyes fell on the location that was once shared by Kabir . With the trembling hands she opened the location and -
"He's here but why he said he's out of the city??" Aadhya questioned to herself.
"He lied to me !!!! There's something going on and I need to find out" she said to herself and went to bed with tear-stained cheeks.

Time skip

It's been 4 days since Kabir last interacted. Everytime aadhya send some message to him he leaves her on seen. She tried calling too but everytime she called. He rejected her call. Her condition was worsening. But next morning a message came .

Kabir :
Hey love !!
Sorry I was busy
these days.....
I AM home now ;
Let's meet at our
usual place......
At 5'pm ??
Aadhya:
Okay.

They went to their usual place that was an old aesthetic cafe. Aadhya was preparing herself for the answer for her questions. Kabir on the other side had no idea what's coming on his way .

In the short period Aadhya's life took a disastrous turn and there was no way around. Her death was confirmed.
