Leslies pov:I let out an infuriated groan once I heard the familiar sound of guitar notes coming from the garage. I was just trying to finish editing my essay for my English class.
I tried to block the guitar out but eventually, I had just had enough and shut my laptop rather quickly hurrying down the stairs to the garage and unplugging the amp.
Once I did that I heard the groans of the four boys, "Leslie plug it back in" Jamie whined.
"No, I am trying to finish up my essay" I snapped. Sure it was a little harsh, but I wanted to be out of school and move out of the damn country. It was always so cold for no reason.
"Who cares about your essay"
"I do! Now be quiet or find somewhere else to play before I complain to Mom again" I glared at the four boys. I don't understand why he wasn't out of the house yet or trying to do this somewhere else- We obviously had neighbors.
Miss. Wilson, who has to have been around the age of 80, had told us several times that she would like it if the boys turned the music down or didn't practice after 9 when everyone was in bed. Our mother even said to Jamie no practicing after 9, but since neither of our parents were home Jamie decided it would be a bright idea on a Tuesday night when everyone has work or school in the morning, to play his music.
"Leslie we need to practice we want to bring out an album next year and Alex told us he has a couple of riffs that could be used in the next one" he begged.
"Mom isn't even home Jamie she doesn't even know you or the boys are here, and if she shows up and finds out you were here you'll be in trouble" I warned.
"Jamie, Leslie's kinda right on this one" Matt agreed. He was surprisingly one of the responsible ones of the four boys. "If your mum doesn't know we're home maybe we should go, remember what Miss. Wilson said-" Matt was cut off by the sound of the front door slamming.
"Oh shit..." I heard Jamie mumble.
"'Oh shit' is right Jamie! Now you're going to get both of us in trouble!"
"Sorry! I didn't think she would be home this early!" He exclaimed.
"What do you mean? She would have been gone for only an hour the grocery store is a 15-minute walk!" I argued back.
"Jamie! Leslie! I got a call from Miss. Wilson again" I heard her familiar voice ring through the house, and she didn't sound pleased.
The door opened to see the familiar face of our mother, and she was not happy, to say the least. "What did I tell you, Jamie? If you have the boys over after 9 no playing your guitars" I heard Matt mumble a quiet, 'It's not just guitars' but mum obviously didn't hear it.
"It wasn't Jamie this time Mom!" I cut in before she could start yelling at him. "Jamie was talking to me in the kitchen about Alex coming up with a couple of riffs for their next album and I begged him to bring the band over" I don't understand why I did that, but I just did.
My mother just stared at me in surprise, "Well you do know the rules Leslie, and boys go home. Matt, your mum called me and told me to tell you she wants you home now, and I'd hurry because she didn't sound very thrilled" she instructed the boys.
