All rights go to ABC Family. Except characters of my own making. Any name coincidences is entirely coincidental (aka, Ashley East, David Stefan). Hope you enjoy. Also, even though this where the solve the crime, this is NOT where the storyline ends. I do plan to go forward with the story, so stay tuned!
Cameron watched Kirsten as she looked around the alleyway. She wasn't even looking at the alleyway, really, she was flashing back and forth, memory to present. He finally took his phone out and started looking up some stuff that, of course, only he would think to do.
It wasn't that people wouldn't do it, it was just that he was the only one he decided to search random stuff. He's just get curious and start searching, until everything he thought about had an answer. He looked over to where Kirsten was. No matter how many Google searches he tried, she would remain a mystery, but he kind of liked her that way.
"This is it, where he wanted to flee, but it's not because Ashley died." Kirsten had finally looked over to him. "Why would he flee if it wasn't because someone was pointing a gun at him? Unless he was fleeing from something other than a person."
Kirsten turned around. "I'm not following." Cameron smirked. "You usually don't. What I mean to say is, did you see who shot Ashley?" Kirsten looked thoughtful. Then realization dawned in her eyes. It was times like these that Cameron just watched her, as she figured out something else. In a way, she looked just. . just. . . amazing.
"David needed to flee because he killed Ashley, not because she had died. He killed her because someone else was after her and he thought shooting her himself would be quicker. When he couldn't make peace with the fact he killed her, he killed himself, because it was too much grief to handle."
Cameron nodded. That was the best answer they would get. "In a way, it's sad. Nobody will ever go to jail for Ashley's murder." Kirsten wasn't paying attention. She was walking back toward the street. He caught up with her, but she didn't acknowledge him.
For a while they walked like that, Kirsten leading the way with Cameron following. Cameron was so deep in thought, he didn't realize they weren't going back to his car. He was about to say something when he realized they were lost. Grabbing Kirsten's arm, he spun her around. "Where the hell are we going?"
Kirsten's expression remained calm. "Not back to the car, if that's what your asking."
"Yeah, I figured that out about three steps ago. Now where are we going?"
Kirsten sighed. "Look, you want to go back to your car, then go."
She started to turn around, but Cameron grabbed her arm again. "Not without you."
"Then I guess we'll keep walking." Once again she tried to turn around, but Cameron had a firm grip on her arm. "Cameron, what?"
"Why aren't you telling me where you're going?"
"I'm going for a walk, alright."
Cameron frowned. She could be so difficult! "Yes, you are going for a walk in an alleyway, that makes so much since." Kirsten was about to open her mouth when gunshots rang out. Cameron started to drag her in the direction of his car, or what he thought was the right direction.
"Great job Kirsten, thanks to your walk we're both screwed!" Kirsten glowered at him. Cameron ignored her and kept running with Kirsten in tow. "We are not screwed, Cameron."
Cameron kept running. He kept hearing gunshots, and he resisted the urge to turn around. Finally, he saw his car, and he fished his keys out. He unlocked it, and Kirsten ran ahead to get in the passenger side. Once he was in the car, he sped off, toward the Stitching lab.
That's it! Yes I know, kill me. It's not even a full page! I want the next chapter to be totally camsten so I tried to get this one over with. Hope you guys like!
