Rain poured relentlessly upon the ramshackle shack, its rhythmic drumming mingling with distant thunder. Within the dimly lit confines of a solitary room, a young man with heavy bags under his eyes sat hunched over paperwork, occasionally taking sips of wine as he worked.

"This challenge demands a collaborative effort," the man muttered, adjusting his glasses before taking another measured sip of wine.

Meanwhile, standing silently behind him, an individual dressed in a butler's attire known only as N held a polished silver platter stacked with gleaming dishes. This version of N was built slightly differently from how he would be in the future, though his neon eyes were just as bright, and his demeanor remained as stoic as his posture. N awaited any command from his master with unwavering patience.

Moments later, the brown-haired man concluded a phone call, a smile spreading across his fatigued features. "This breakthrough will revolutionize my project," he declared triumphantly, casually tossing a glass onto N's outstretched tray. With graceful ease, N caught the glass before executing a quick bow and silently exited the room.

Elsewhere in the shack, a sleek drone glided through narrow corridors, its sensors scanning the maze-like interior. Pausing abruptly before a peculiar room, the drone hesitated, an inexplicable sense of déjà vu washing over its circuits. Instinct urged it to flee, but duty compelled it to investigate further.

As N cautiously approached the room, a sense of foreboding hung heavy in the air. With trembling fingers, he grasped the door handle and pushed it open, only to be met with a sudden chill that seemed to distort his vision. Reality wavered momentarily, glitching like a faulty transmission. The fear coursing through him caused the glassware on his tray to clatter and cascade to the ground in a chaotic symphony, mirroring N's own inner turmoil.

Suddenly, N's tail slipped from its grip on the shack's roof, sending him crashing to the ground below with a resounding thud—a stark reminder of an unsettling and deeply buried memory that had resurfaced unexpectedly.

Light filtered into N's eyes, revealing two blurred, tiny black figures peering down at him from different angles. As he tried to clear his vision, the shapes resolved into the familiar forms of the Pines twins.

Still lying on the floor, N called out, "Hey guys! Is everything okay?"

An awkward silence hung in the air as the Pines twins exchanged glances before Dipper decided to speak up. "We heard a strange noise from the corridor, so Mabel and I came to check it out," he explained, casting a curious glance at N. "And now we find you on the floor."

N's neon eyes widened momentarily as he scrambled to his feet, brushing off the dust from his outfit with a sheepish grin. "Oops, silly me," he chuckled.
