CHAPTER FOUR
"maintenance day"

BRYCE LOOKED AT MALIA WITH AN ANNOYED FACE. She was currently in his room, standing in front of his gaming monitor. Blocking him from playing the game with his friends.

She was currently trying to persuade him to let her use his car for the day. Tomorrow she would be going to Connecticut, meaning today was maintenance day. Her car had been in the shop for about a week now, and she had already booked her hair and nails appointment in advance.

She didn't feel safe taking an uber by herself, anything could happen.

"Bryce please. You know I wouldn't ask if I didn't have to. Bronny locked the door because his girlfriend is here, and I can't ask mom or dad to use one of their cars because they're both out and aren't answering the phone. I promise I'll be careful," Malia stated.

"You know what Malia, just take the damn keys," Bryce grabbed the keys off the desk, throwing them at Malia's chest.

"Thank you so much Bryce, love you," Malia said as she caught the keys in her hands and exited the room.

She began to make her way down the stairs, but suddenly remembers that she left her camera inside her room. She rolled her eyes as she turnt back to her room. Grabbing her camera off of her desk, exiting her room.

As she walked past Bronny's room, the door suddenly opened. A person walking out of the room quickly, like they were in a rush, as they texted quickly on their phone.

The person stopped in their tracks, almost bumping into Malia. They looked up from their phone, Malia finally noticed that it was Bronny's girlfriend, Treasure.

"Oh, hey Malia! I haven't seen you around in a while, how have you been?" Treasure questioned Malia, a smile over taking her face from seeing the girl.

Long story short, Malia and Treasure used to be best friends. They were best friends since middle school. But about a year ago, Treasure told Malia that she was dating Bronny.

She didn't see no problem with it at first, but Treasure slowly turned her full attention onto Bronny. Texting Malia here and there, so they eventually just grew apart. There was not really any bad blood, but things just happen.

Malia was definitely still confused about their relationship. Knowing both of them personally, she knew that they were definitely not each other's types. And being that Bronny and Malias rooms were down the hall from each other, Malia could hear the loud arguments between the couple.

"Hey Treasure, I've been good. Just been chilling lately, what about you?" Malia answered, also returning the question.

"I've been good, you know life been lifing," Treasure joked, making Malia let out a soft chuckle followed by a soft 'yea.'

Soon an awkward silence overtook the once best friends. Malia cleared her throat before speaking, "Well, I have a hair appointment to go to. See you later," Malia said, giving the girl a warm smile as she began walking away from her.

"Alright, can I talk to you when you're not busy? Maybe when you come back from your appointments?" Treasure questioned hopefully.

"Uh, yea sure," Malia replied making Treasure nod her head as she walked away.

"So guys, I just finished getting my hair doneee, how yall feel about it?" Malia talked into the camera as she ran her hand through the new straight backs.
