Ty couldn't move, his body was in shock, he stood there watching Amy fight for her life, "TY" Jack said shaking Ty. "We need to leave the room so the doctors can do what they need to save Amy" Jack said grabbing Ty's arm and pulling him out of the room.  "I don't get how she could go from fine to coding 3 times in an hour" Tim said pacing and rubbing his hand through his hair.

"We need to go to the lobby and let The rest of the family know what's going on, because right now they have not a clue what's going on" Jack said looking to Ty, who was still in shock, and panic. "Ty" Jack shook Ty again, Ty could barely hear Jacks voice. "Yeah okay" He said starting towards the lobby of the hospital.

Georgie was the first to stand up when they walked into the lobby, partially because she was the only one sitting towards where Ty, Jack, And Tim walked out. "What's going on?" Georgie asked frantically walking up to them noticing the worried look on all of their faces. Jack and Ty looked to the ground while Tim paced frantically around the lobby of the hospital while biting his finger nails. "What's wrong?" Lou stood up and walked up beside Georgie. Ty looked up with a tear in his eye, "A-Amy might.... N-not make it" Ty stuttered and looked to the ground. "What do you mean she might not make it last time we asked she was fine...." Katie said. "She took a turn for the worst and has coded 3 times in the last hour, they are in there working on her right now" Tim said continuing to pace around.

Lou, Katie, and Georgie sat down and Lou started crying, Georgie and Katie looked worried, they sat in silence and worry for about an hour when a doctor came out, everyone in sync stood up hoping for good news. "Tell it to us straight doc, don't beat around the bush" Jack said looking the doctor right in the eyes. The doctor sighed "Well, she's stable right now, but it's just a matter of time before she codes again, too many more times and she will..." The doctor paused for a second and looked at the worried family. "She will become brain dead" He finished. "Oh, No" Lou cried, "So what do we do from here?" Tim asked. "Well... Pray" The doctor said losing a little bit of professionalism. "No, what do YOU guys do from here, not us, what comes next?" Ty asked pressuring the doctor a little bit.

The doctor sat down, "Well. tomorrow we will start the process to get Amy skin grafts and we will do surgery to repair the nerve damage, hopefully after that, her state will improve" The doctor said reading his clipboard. "What does that mean? If that will help her state improve then why are you guys pushing it off and not doing it sooner?" Tim asked shrugging his shoulders and getting impatient with the doctor. "Well because she's not the only one in this hospital that needs an emergency surgery and we only have 2 doctors on site right now" The doctor explained as best as he could.

Tim sat down trying to keep his cool, but still was stressed out. "Can't you guys call in another surgeon?" Lou asked. "We can try, but its not likely that we will have a surgeon, close enough, or willing to come in until tomorrow as it is" The doctor said standing up from the chair. "Then try" Georgie said with tears coming down her cheeks. "Okay, i will try, give me about a half hour to an hour" He said walking away to the back.

"I cant believe this is happening, what could have even caused the fire?" Katie asked worriedly. "There's a number of things.. though they are betting on electrical beings it was a brand new house" Ty said getting up and starting to pace. "Doesn't that mean we can sue the electrical company that did the work?" Lou asked. "Yes that's exactly what that means" Tim said standing back up and pacing with Ty. "Then that's what we are going to do, at least for it to pay for Amy's treatment." Jack said pulling out his phone. He dialed a number and then put it to his ear.

"Hi, Thank you for calling Dickson Wright Law Firm, The best lawyers in Canada, What can i do for you today?" The man on the other line sounded cheery and happy. Not much to be happy about right now, but he didn't know that. Yet.

"Hi, Yes, My names Jack Bartlett, My granddaughter was recently in a fire, Her name is Amy Fleming, Her house was brand new, they said it was possibly electrical and we wanted to file a law suit to the company who did the wiring, so i need the best lawyer you guys have available ill pay any price you guys need me to" Jack said also getting up and pacing around.

"Uhm, okay, so what is the companies name? And when did this fire happen?" The guys voice changed a little bit, now it was worry, and sorry.

"Strata Electrical Contracting INC." The guy on the other side went absolutely silent, no typing nothing. "And this happened i want to say about a week or so ago, but their house was... or so we thought... finished, about 2 and a half weeks ago" Jack said looking around the hospital lobby.

The man on the other end sighed, and you can tell his facial expressions changed. "Yeah... we have had issues with this company before, it's not the best company out there, though, it's not very uncommon for someone to file a lawsuit on behalf of a electrical fire" The man said resuming what he was doing on his laptop.

Jack paused and muted his phone for a second and looked up to the rest of the family. "The guy said this isn't the first time this company has had something like this happen" He said cupping his hand around the phone as if he didn't mute it. "What?!" Lou exclaimed.

"So i have a Lawyer available, Gracey, She is THE BEST one that we have available to the public right now, you are sure to win your case if she is your lawyer, if you so choose her, her rate is $167,000 for 3 weeks" The guy on the other end said, his cheerful mood coming back to him. (For legal, and privacy purposes of this fan fic and the lawyer I'm not going to use a real lawyer)

Jack gasped "$167,000?? That's..." Jack paused for a second. "Please give me just a couple minutes to discuss this with my family" Jack muted the phone and looked up to Lou "They want $167,000 for 3 days weeks with a lawyer" Jacks face went blank and worry filled it once more. "Just do it, we can cover it, and if we win the lawsuit we easily get that money back" Lou said side hugging Georgie and rubbing her hair.

Jack put the phone back to his ear "We will do it" Jack said to the man.

"Okay, so I'm going to send a text to your current phone number, and i will have you fill out that application, you will be approved, we just have to have you do it for some information, we will do this while we are on the phone" His voice was full cheery again, he didn't have a care in the world about what was going on just that he was going to get money... and a lot of it.

"Okay sounds good I'm watching for the text message right now!" Jack said pulling the phone from his ear and putting it on speaker.

"It should be coming through at any moment, fill it out and let me know if you need any help with it at all" The man on the other line said while typing on his computer.

Jack opened the document and started filling it out, it was all basic questions like how much can you pay monthly, what's your annual income, stuff like that. He filled it out without a problem and sent it back to the guy.

"Okay perfect, we received your documents, Gracey will be contacting you within the next 24 hours, Can we help you with anything else?" The guy asked.

"Uhm, no i think that's all. Thank you." Jack said clicking the phone off.

"Okay so we now have a lawyer to go about suing Strata Electrical, What's next?" Lou asked standing up from her seat impatiently. "Uhm I'm not really sure i guess we will ask Gracey when she contacts us" Jack said sitting down.

The family sat in silence for another 10 minutes or so and then the doctor came out. Ty stood up trying to stay as patient as he possibly could. "So, it looks, conveniently like we have a canceled surgery, so we can get Amy in, in about an hour."

Ty sighed a breath of relief.  "Thank god"
