Something strange happened today. It started out normal enough. The Ninja and I were training in the courtyard. Well... They were mostly training me, and by they, I mean Cole, the Earth Ninja, and the Green Ninja: Master Lloyd.

When the Ninja had lost me to time, Cole had given up cake, and had pushed himself to the limits of his training, giving himself a thick, formidable build. Altogether, he had looked like a rugged warrior, but after our return to Ninjago from the First Realm... He wasn't quite as toned anymore.

Now he looks more like a big teddy bear. I believe it's because he refused to eat anything other than cake for at least two weeks.

As for Lloyd... My nephew looks far more like a Master then I do. From what the Ninja had told me, he hadn't always been quite so serious or uptight, he'd had a childish side too. But I don't see that. I see a Master, a Leader, a Protector... Things I'm not, but am supposed to be. I can't believe he was my student once... I can't believe any of them were my students...

Anyways, I had just been trying to perfect my saju jirugi., which I still can't get quite right despite it being one of the simplest patterns, when we'd heard a knock on the gate.

"Mail's here," Lloyd said. "I'll go get it, you keep training with Cole." I nodded as Cole attempted to fix my stance.

"No, front knee bent, and your back foot needs to be over here, a shoulder width apart, not behind your other one." Cole pushed me gently, yet I almost fell. "See? No balance. But if you shift your foot here..." He moved my foot, and pushed me again. This time, I didn't move. "See?"

I nodded again, and was about to move to the next position when Lloyd yelled, "You have to be kidding me!"

Shadow dropped down from the Monastery's roof. I flinched. I had had no clue she was there. Exactly Lloyd's hight, with a lithe frame, pale skin, black hair, and vibrant green eyes, she was a striking figure. Both figuratively and literally. Her fighting skills are... Intense. Side by side, she and Lloyd were undefeatable.

"What's up Heroboy?" She asked. Cole and I walked over to join them. Lloyd was glaring at a letter like it had single handedly ruined his life.

"It's from my d- Garmadon. He wants to see me. Says its 'urgent'." Lloyd spat. I looked at him in worry. This was the first time I've ever seen him angry. Annoyed, yes, but angry? Never. It... It wasn't pleasant.

Shadow took the letter from him. "Hm... He says come alone. We both know that's not happening."

I said, "I want to come too."

Lloyd didn't look happy about our company, but he nodded.

"Mail's here!? I'll take that," Jay interrupted, running out of the Monastery, snatching a package from under Lloyd's arm, then running right back inside. I blinked.

"Wonder what that was about," Cole said.

"Probably some new video games or something," Lloyd replied. "One last envelope. This one's addressed to all of us." He opened it. "It's an invitation to the docks tomorrow. The city wants to thank us again."

Cole smiled, "That's nice of them."

"Guess we won't be able to go, unless you guys would rather go to the ceremony..." Lloyd said.

Shadow gave him a poisonous look. "If you think I'm letting you go see your dad alone after everything that just happened..."

"And I wish to talk to my brother. Perhaps he can help me with my memory." I added.

Lloyd sighed. "Fine."

So tomorrow I will have to face my brother. I hope I will remember something, but I somehow doubt it. I've heard many stories of him, and I fought him briefly several months ago, yet I don't know him as a person. Maybe he's not as bad as I am told. I must go now, more training...
