Emelia called Kira and told her to grab Clara and Max to make our decisions. After five or so minutes the three walked out of the elevator and met us in front of Lisbon's office.

When we walked into the squad room.

"Ah," Wainwright stood from leaning on a desk, "and these are?"

"Clara Dasher, Kira Austin, Max Baker, and Chase Smith." Emelia introduced us all.

"Ah," Jane said, "great to meet you all."

"So are you guys gonna choose your mentors or what?" the shorter of the two other men asked in a monotone way.

"Ah, be nice Cho," Jane said, "That's Kimball Cho and Wayne Rigsby." he pointed to each of them.

"And she's Grace Van Pelt," he pointed to a red haired woman walking in with a CBI-stamped folder.

"Nice to meet you all," I said, smiling.

"Okay!" Wainwright clapped his hands together, "Let's get started. Why don't all of you give us your final decisions for your mentors?"

"Absolutely," I said, "Kira?"

"Van Pelt," she said, smiling.

Van Pelt gave Kira a big smile and a small celebratory hug.

"Clara?" Emelia looked at her.

"Cho."

Cho gave her a 'hm' and she walked over to stand beside him.

"Max?" I looked at him.

"Rigsby."

Emelia and I gave Rigsby an apologetic look. Rigsby leaned over to Cho and said something I couldn't make out. I'm assuming Cho said something snarky, based off Rigsby's reaction. Max walked over to them.

"What'd they say?" I asked, turning to Emelia.

She leaned forward slightly and whispered, "Rigsby asked why we gave apologetic looks, and Cho responded with 'you get used to it. That was the look Bertram gave me when he told me I'd be working with you'. Then Rigsby proceeded to be offended."

I kind of laughed and turned back the team, who had dispersed into small conversations because we had turned. Except Jane.

I cleared my throat. When they were all looking at Emelia and I again, I voiced my decision.

"Lisbon."

She gave me a small smile, and I walked over to her.

"That leaves you with me," Jane said, walking up to Emelia.

"I guess it does," she gave a small laugh.

Wainwright walked forward and turned to face us.

"Okay!" he started, "this will work a little differently then you all are probably expecting. I will assign each of you to a different case, and you will bring your mentee to help you solve it. They will be smaller cases, so that way you can solve them without Jane."

The group agreed and we all started to go our separate ways. I went with Lisbon into her office as the rest of the group went with their mentors to their desks in the squad room.

I sat down on the couch in Lisbon's office when I got a text from Emelia in our team's group chat.

We needed our assignments, but now we can get the plan rolling.

When Lisbon turned to grab something from her drawer, I answered the text.

Tyger, tyger.
