What?
My eyes darted around the darkness, looking for even an object that I could make out, a sliver of blue haze covering my eyes, similar to the blue side of 3D movie theatre glasses. I struggled to move, but all I could do was breathe. I stared blankly at the dark wall as my breathe sped up and a cold shiver ran down my spine. I was cold, so so cold. Like I was being kept in a meat locker. My eyes began to close, as I realized I was getting more and more mobility of my own body.
It all became a little darker, and colder.I woke up again, being immediately greeted with one of the worst and sharpest headache I have ever had, my head throbbed from the pain and it felt as though my skull was going to be spilt in two. I could again, bury just a little bit. I tried to move my arms, but I couldn't see them in. front of me, I could only feel the immense amount of tension that my arm made as I tried to bend it. It felt both numb and very stiff. But I had enough strength to keep moving, I continued to move around, shove, push, and shake my surroundings until I saw a sliver. It was the silver lining to my cloud. A bright light came from a crack in between from what I could tell now to be a refrigerator. I continued to throw my body weight again the door, pushing over and over again. Each time, I heard the tearing of the magnetic door spreading from its frame. I regretted my blunt force as once complete, my body opened the door, sending me plummeting to the floor, the tile below me shattered on impact. As I heard loud, heavy and husky footsteps approaching the door right behind me. I loud bang was made as what I could tell, the large metal door swung open, hitting the wall it's frame was built on. I tried to love my mouth, but it was too stiff. I needed to at least shout when I felt two very large and familiar hands, pick me up by my shoulders and fix me into a standing position.
You.
Staring back at me was that stupid fugly ice cream mascot mask, it was non other than the ice cream man. The same one who caught me the last time I remember being conscious. "Oh Well I can see your already awake! I was expecting you to be out for a few more days. Well that's no issue, in fact I'd say it's a blessing!" The man chuckled to himself audibly. I could only stare back in hatred of him. "No! Now why would I complain when I get more time with my favourite customer!" He laughed again, never once using his amusement from me not being able to say anything back to him. Perhaps it would be for his benefit. And my benefit if I got out of this icey cold cage. "Now I apologize about how I handled you earlier, such a gentleman/gentlelady should be handled with absolute care!" He walked off, moving to a table in the corner of the room, filled with blue prints and other junk. Grabbing an ice cream scoop, he moved over to my face, his whole body towering over me as he got closer, he ripped off some ice blocking my face and mouth from moving, than using his hands to wipe away crusted ice from my lips. I gasped and open my mouth, my tongue swirled around my mouth, in an effort to de-frost my teeth and get a better feel of trying to talk again. "Oh and don't worry about your paralysis. It's just ice, you'll be back to normal in no time." Disgusting. "You must be parched! And starving non the less. I'll go make some food right now, hopefully it will be done by the time your defrosted!" The man approached my again, up close, I winced fearing he would hurt me. instead, he moved a strand of hair out of my face, then running back out the door, slamming it shut. So much for escaping.
I waited in that room for what felt like hours, every second of it was pure boredom.
I would have rather him cutting me up and sending my remains to the local butcher for me to than end up as the plot for another dateline episode. Tears flow down my face, I was so scared. Besides trying to stay strong, which I have had to ever since I moved. I was terrified. Everything around me was one bit horrific weapon. What was I going to do. Well, after I defrosted, what was there To-Do. It seems like my options are pretty limited. For a second, my thoughts shifted over to the boy that got away, maybe if or whenever he finds his way home, he could tell them about me, and retrace his steps. And save me. Who am I kidding, no one in this community liked me enough to actually try and find me. They would most likely find my dead body in a river somewhere. Possibly Sullivan creek? I jolted as much as my stuff body could when the door slammed open again. "I have brought you some food, my loyal customer." The man placed down a regular sandwich at my feet, accompanied with a glass of water. I didn't want anything this man had to offer, despite my dry throat and aching stomach. "Now that I have the time to talk to you, without you Y'know.. try to flee the scene, I figured I would let you know that, your not in any danger at all!" He said holding up a knife, than slicing my sandwich. "I have taken a liking to you dear, And you should know I would never hurt my favourite customer! Or at least not on purpose. Can't you reason with your old pal rod? I had my reasons for kidnapping you." Fuck you.
I said, Finally being able to open my mouth, i than gasped and chocked in the cold air that hit my already dry throat.
He just stared back.
"I wish you would."
What??
"Now I have to be on my way, I have some stuff i need to do right outside!, now don't let me catch you trying to escape!" He chuckled again, than opening the door and blowing me a kiss, which in an act If pettiness, I tried to "dodge".
What the actual fuck is going on.I started to push and shove myself around, hitting walls and almost stumbling multiple times, as both an attempt to free myself from my icey cage and rebel against rods wishes. Finally, I was freed from my prison when the ice in my foot collided with a hunk of solid snow on the floor of the refrigerator that was not so stuck to the ground as I though, the snow heap crumbled and the ice incasing me, shattered to pieces.
Yes!
Wait no, Shit!
The ice hitting the tiled floor was loud enough to echo though out the building, not only was this incredibly loud but the tiles on the floor also shattered under the weight of the ice. Getting out my trap was easy, easy enough for it to only take a few seconds. I was fooled into not at least waiting until rod had walked far enough, but by the time I was face first on the floor surrounded by ice, rod probably hadn't even made it half way across the metal building. And looking around, I could tell I didn't have many options at hand if I didn't want to get caught again. Who knows what he would do to me this time.
Without skipping a beat, i scurried up, careful not to slip on the broken pieces of ice. My eyes darted around the room, panicking more with each footstep I heard outside. He was coming, and fast. Than, I spotted it. Another empty fridge! I ran over, accidentally knocking over a ladder, atop of it was a bucket of paint, which spilled all over the floor. The door knob shook as I tried to hurry to make it to the fridge on time before rod spotted me. I then pulled open the door, which slammed against the window behind it, causing it to shatter to pieces.
I slammed the door behind me, than opening it as quietly and as sneakily as possibly to try and watch rod. My hands gripped the door and it's frame, carefully, trying not to open the sliver too wide. There I saw him. He stood in the Center of the room, staring at the previously open fridge and the knocked over junk, and shattered window.
"Dammit! They escaped! I hope they don't make a break for it!" he said to himself, than chuckling after his statement. Weird. It's like he's trying so hard not to laugh.
He continued back, moving out of sight.
I knew he had left when I heard the door slam behind him. I opened the fridge door slowly, peeking Outside. I stepped out, than placing a hand on the bow broken window and looking around outside. I figured this window was a safer option than the same door he just left from. I hoped out, being careful not to cut myself on the broken glass or tear my clothing. I stepped forward, my bare feet touching the soft blades of grass. Shit, I left my shoes inside. It's too late now, I have to leave the same was that kid did. I pole my head out, around the corner. He wasn't there. This was my chance! I sprinted forward, seeing the trash can. I was so close, it was in arms length.
WHIIIP
I was pulled back by the collar on my shirt, the strength used was enough for me to fall flat on the ground on my back. Staring up at me was none other than rod.
Ow.
"Now, where do you think your going? Did you seriously think I was stupid or blind enough to not see your own footprints? Please, there's only one way you know how to leave, pretty smart of you to pretend to have escaped through the window. But always remember, I'm one step ahead of anything you do."
My head throbbed from the pain.
"I do have to apologize for my excess amount of force, I guarantee I didn't mean to hurt you, just to stop you. Are you alright? You look fine to me."
I could only mumble incoherently to myself, my speech too slurred to make out.
"Here, how about I take you somewhere else? Less..cluttered , ah! I know. It's a surprise my dear! But I am sure you will enjoy it."
Before I knew it, rod had picked me up of the ground, carrying me bridal style.
"There will be more supply's there. Like an actual bed. You look tired. Oh and food!"
He carefully placed me in the passenger seat of his van, than grabbing both my wrists and blowing a thick cloud of blue smoke over them, freezing them together. "Sorry my dear! But you have shown your not trust worth to be left alone right now."
He than sat in his side, putting my seat belt on, "safety first!" Before than driving and pulling out of the strange metal building. I watched as we drove further and further down the road from what I though was not a familiar place.
"Hey, try not to look so gloomy, after all your going to get a once of a lifetime experience."
I was only able to mumble a series of incoherent words before making out the word "what". In a more confused tone than I actually was.
"A tour of my factory my dear!"
"Only for my favourite customer." He said, in a smooth and partially seductive tone. Than pressing down his cold thumb onto my neck. It sent shivers down my spine and gave me cold sweats. God, that feeling was awful and thrilling at the same time. Wait.
His factory?
He's taking me to his factory?
Before I could let my mind wander, we drove past it.
I large heap of a sign, which read, "frosty ice cream factory." If there was no turning back before, there was definitely no turning back now.
