Chapter 6: An Offer and A Threat

Max Opened his Eyes,as He Gasped Out,In Surprise,Before,Sitting Up,Abruptly,To Look Around.

Max found Himself,Right Back,In the Bedroom of his Own House,as He looked Around his Bedroom,In Confusion.

As He Looked Around,Max began Wondering if his Encounter with the Dragons and Blayz was All,Just a Dream,That,He had.

Max jumped Out of Bed as He walked Out of his Bedroom,Into the Kitchen,Where He saw his Father,In Front of the Stove,Making Breakfast.

"Hey There,Little Man. You're Up,Pretty Early. Aren't Ya?" Max's Dad commented,as He Smiled to Himself,While,He continued to cook the Meal.

"I...I Guess,I am. But,Why are You,So Happy,Dad?" Max asked,Confusingly,Even Answering his Dad in a Confused Tone,as He wondered to Himself,What the Heck was going On.

"Because,Buddy,Your Mother is Coming Home Today," Max's Dad answered.

"My...Mom?" Max repeated,In Surprise.

"Yes,In Fact,She just came Home,Right,This Second,Go see Her," His Father announced,as He pointed towards the Front Door.

Max,Wanting to see if It was True,Ran,Into the Living Room,as He watched the Front Door to the House Open,To see his Mother standing There,In the Doorway.

"Hello,My Son,"  She said,With a Bright Smile on Her Face.

"M...Mom..." Max called,as Tears started to drop,From his Eyes,Feeling So Happy,To see Her Alive.

"Come give Your Mom a Hug," Max's Mom requested,With Open Arms.

Max,Then,Ran Over to Her,To Hug Her,Tightly,But,as He ran to His Mom,She,Suddenly, Disintegrated into Dust.

Max,Feeling Confused about What was going On,Turned Around,To see his Father standing There,Behind Him.

Except Something was Different about Him,This Time,His Eyes glowed a Bright Yellow,And,His Voice was Evil and Disembodied.

"Foolish Child,You cannot Trust,What You see," He stated,Before,His Father Dissipated into a Large Shadow,Which engulfed Max.

Max Screamed as He pushed Through,Emerging Out,Into a Ruined Version of Earth.

Max Gasped as He looked Around Himself,Seeing,What had Happened to his Beloved Home.

The Buildings were on Fire,The Sky was a Bright Orange,And,The Rivers were made of Lava,As Far as the Eye could See.

In All the Chaos,There was a Large Familiar Population of Dragons,Who was Attacking and Killing Humanity,as They began to take over the World.

It was the very Same Dragons,That,Max had met,Back in the Peacekeepers Homeworld,Including his Friend,Blayz,Who's Eyes were Glowing Red,as He led All of the Dragons,Into the World,Slashing and Burning Everything,In Sight.

Max,Not believing the Horrific Scene,That,He was Witnessing,Then,Saw a Shadow Dragon appear,Right,In Front of his Very Eyes.

It turns Out,That,Malefor was,Pretending to be Father,To make Him see,What would Happen if He went Along with the Dragons to save the Universe.

"Maximus,This is What will Happen if You Go Along with the Dragons to "save the Universe" The Dragons,That,You are Working with are Evil,Underneath Their Kind Nature,They cannot be Trusted,Thus,If You do This,I might have a Way to bring Your Mother Back,From the Dead," Malefor warned.

"Wh-What?" Max responded,In Confusion and Surprise.

"Max,I,Malefor am the Only One,Who can save Your Mother,And,I am the Only One,Who can save the Universe,Through the Core of Light,But,You must play Your Part," Malefor elucidated.
