Chapter 7: The choice is made

"We have to get rid of him to live" some people were saying while others were saying things like "He's not going anywhere, if something bad is happening we will face it together. Were good people and we won't let the bad people separate us or even try to separate us"

"Yeah I don't want to leave, and if anything bad happens just know I'm sorry that it does but if you don't like my decision you can leave and let the rest of us handle things, but know this one thing, if whoever sent this note knows who I hang out with they might come for everyone no matter what choice I make, so I say it's easier to stay in a group rather than part ways," Sam said agreeing with the people who want him to stay

"Ok we will take a vote, to see how many are staying and leaving and it will be so no one knows who voted what so we know it's your opinion, not someone else's," Sally said

"Yep, and I will be taking count of the votes because I won't be voting," Sam told everyone

Ok so they voted and Sam is saying that it was 9 to 4, so 4 people wanted to leave and those 4 were the 3 ghosts and Mara

"We are truly sorry Sam, we just don't want to see any more of the kidnapper, so you can contact us if you survive when the kidnapper is for sure gone, and if you don't then we know you either don't want to see us again for leaving you or you didn't make it, but whatever your decision, I hope you know that we would never leave you unless we had good reason to," Bell said and the other two ghosts nodded in sad looking agreement (meaning they were agreeing but they were sad to go because they didn't want to leave they just didn't want to see the person who murdered them so they are going somewhere to get away)

"I understand, I would probably do the same thing," Sam told the ghosts then looked at Mara, "why do you want to leave?"

"Because if I don't my job would be compromised, the bad people would know I'm a spy and I would get fired," Mara said trying not to look into Sam's eyes

"Oh, well that makes sense I guess but it wouldn't matter anyway because the way the person that wrote the letter had it written out, they know everyone in this group," Sally told Mara

"Yeah but even if that were the case, I'm a bird, if danger comes at me I can fly away," Mara said, still trying to keep her eyes off of Sam for fear that he would be able to change her mind on leaving, she doesn't want to lose her job but she also doesn't want to lose her only friends

And so Mara flew off before anyone could change her mind and make her come back.

"Well, I guess we're down with no eyes from the sky- unless you can fly when you turn into a bird Mini," Sam said

"No- I can fly, it's just hard to fly, and then I have to learn to walk again" Mini replied

Well, a few weeks went by while Mini was learning how to fly, everyone was preparing for a fight and no one was doing well in school but things took an interesting turn when Mara (only the new teacher class pet- no longer helping the group) went missing and the teacher didn't even seem bothered she looked happy that Mara was gone. And now the group was in the tree house for another meeting

"Ok, so what is this meeting all about?" Luna asked, because she doesn't go to school she has no idea what news she is about to be hit with

"Um well, Mara went missing and her- the crazy new teacher seemed glad she was gone, she even got a new class pet and this is not good because it's a dog and some kids are allergic to dogs," Fred told the group

"Wait. how is she allowed to have a dog as a class pet if kids are allergic to it?" Lulu asked, not understanding what school is but knowing enough to know that isn't a good thing
