Grimace and Hamburglar were good pals, buddies even. They shared the same endlessly tedious job of entertaining children at birthday parties. But even if they both were just mere co-workers, they recognized they had excellent chemistry.

Whether they wanted to acknowledge it or not.

Grimace was always a bit timid, not as outgoing as Hamburglar. Not one to act on his thoughts or talk much. Hamburglar was the polar opposite. Always standing up for grimace if grimace was too shy to do it himself. He was very confident. A trait that Grimace was fond of.

These traits also applied with how they handled love.

Grimace denied it. He was too scared of his own emotions so he buried them deep down in himself. He couldn't like a boy, could he?

Hamburglar was just his friend… nothing more.

But Hamburglar didn't only recognize it, he desired for a time to act on it. Being around children most of the time didn't allow much room for a love life (which was an obstacle he had to consider) But he felt that Grimace was almost the best thing that had ever happened to him. He was absolutely infatuated with him.

And another little something on Grimace's behind that he lovingly named “Grimace’s Gyatt”.

Nothing would stop him.

That day, it was another normal birthday party, another batch of smelly kids, another day of Grimace ignoring his feelings for Hamburglar. The routine was mundane to say the least. They would enter the room, do a dance, allow children to take pictures with them, then leave. It was tiringly repetitive.

Every now and then, in their dressing room, they would exchange glances. Maybe a few hungry stares from Hamburglar that Grimace would try to misinterpret. But that day, there was something burning in Hamburglar's soul that Grimace could see through his eyes. He coughed and redirected his eyes to the door.

But the Hamburglar knew that he had caught the love of his life's eye, and he would never let go.

Someone knocked on their door, a man they knew named Joe. His neon green shirt was adorned with his name tag. “You're up” He said in his deadpan voice. Grimace coughed again and looked over at Hamburglar, his non-existent shoulder gesturing over to Joe. Hamburglar sighed and followed Joe into the party room.

Cheers and chants erupted into the audience as they appeared from the door. The room was covered in confetti and spaghetti was smeared across the floor. Hamburglar tried to keep the facade of a smile on his face while dodging the chunks of food scattered across the tiles. Both him and Grimace stood in front of the room as music started. Grimace started his usual dance but for some reason, Hamburglar just couldn't keep his eyes off Grimace's gyatt.

It shook like congealed salad as he danced. He blushed profusely, realizing what he must do.

As soon as Grimace was finished, Hamburglar started his dance. But grimace noticed something different. He put much more energy in it, especially in his hips. Grimace blushed and looked away as Hamburglar smirked at him. Hamburglar's cape fluttered in the wind created by his hips, giving him an almost ethereal look.

Even if he was focusing all his energy on his dance, he just couldn't pry his eyes away from Grimace's gyatt. Even while idle, it looked juicy and just the right amount of round. It filled him with a sort of primal hunger that fueled him.

He finished soon, still releasing quiet pants from the amount of force he was exerting. Joe announced that everyone was allowed to take photos and hordes of families rushed towards the front to take photos. The constant clicking of cameras harmonized into a sort of bird song. A familiar melody that both Grimace and Hamburglar knew very well.

Hamburglar knew it was his time to strike. To act on these feelings that he had been bottling up. To finally show his affections to his love, Grimace.

He fell under the cover of rushing families, it's not like they would want a picture with him anyways. He was always the less popular of the pair. Being a criminal wasn't a very good characterization for most. It always made children afraid of him. Pair that with his mask and his cape which obscured his vision, and you would see why he wasn't chosen for picture taking most of the time.

But he never minded, as long as his love Grimace got the spotlight he deserved. He snuck past the crowd around Grimace and spotted his target.

Grimace's voluptuous gyatt.

It seemed to glisten under the dingy lights of the party room. A spotlight erected from the heavens. It looked beautiful.

Careful to not be spotted by the cameras, he aligned his arm with Grimace's buttocks. Making sure it was at the right angle. He took a deep breath, preparing himself. He worried if this would be taken the wrong way by a, seemingly, oblivious Grimace.

But he never worried for too long.

Closing his eyes in anticipation, his hand moved like lightning. Giving the juicy gyatt a–

SLAP

It sounded a bit wet, that was expected with Grimace after all. But Grimace, he stood there in shock. His face felt hot. His body felt hot. But out of everything, his gyatt felt the hottest. Hamburglar’s sweaty, hastily put on glove had left an imprint so haunting. Not even a gold fish could forget it. That slap ignited something inside Grimace. Something that he hid deep inside the chasms of his heart.

He couldn't dwell on it for long (as there were still children to entertain) ,but oh how we wished he could've. They exchanged a quick glance before Hamburglar left to greet other children.

Grimace was scared, not only because a puncture wound had formed on his gyatt from the slap, but because he had to face his feelings.

I've made up my mind, he thought ,I'll confront him after the party. He felt hours had passed before the party ended. Each minute dragged on uncomfortably.

Until the moment finally arrived. “Why did you slap my gyatt?” Grimace awkwardly asked, putting his two pointer fingers together. Everyone else had left which made everything even more uncomfortable than it already was. “I was making the first move!,” Hamburglar exclaimed “I see how you look at me everyday in our dressing room!”

“I was tired of waiting” Hamburglar sighed. “but why my gyatt!?” Grimace asked, loudly. “It was discreet enough to not make a scene, but made enough of an impact to send the message” Hamburglar explained.

“Also, I've been staring at your dump truck all week. It was the only thing I could think about for a while ;)”

Grimace’s arms were too short to tuck his non-existent hair behind his ear. So they just waved about awkwardly. “Dayum hammy.. I didn't think you liked me like that… “ Grimace blushed.

“What do you say, let's get together at a burger king?” Hamburglar extended his arm to Grimace. “Sure” Grimace took his arm and they left through the emergency escape. Ready to start a new, blossoming relationship.

“Who's gonna tell them their shift isn't over?” Joe stared in disbelief at the open door they just left out of.
