Way x Kim pt 2

A/N: this is a request from girlie vibe. It is a continuation of the last chapter

It's been almost two years since Way and Kim started dating and a lot has happened. The red team went bankrupt so they couldn't race anymore. And Winner decided to set fire to the blue team's garage and race track. He got caught and imprisoned but the deed has been done. The blue team could no longer exist.

This greatly affected Kim and Way in their own way. Way became a workaholic and Kim became depressed.

Thanks to work, Way was rarely home anymore making things even worse between them. And whenever Way was home, they just said few words and slept without even holding hands. Their sweet romance was turning bitter and none of them had the energy to speak up and try change

Way dragged him self from the bedroom to the kitchen. When he got to the door he saw Kim. The light of his world looking like a mere shell of his former self.

Way felt guilty. He was too focused on trying to distract himself that he forgot about Kim. He was going through the exact same thing as Way, except he had nothing to distract him.

Way went to Kim as he was frying bacon and hugged him from the back.

Kim stiffened. He had forgotten what Way's touch felt like. He didn't realise until now how much he has been longing for Way to hold him like this. He missed Way............maybe even more than racing

"You look beautiful baby" Way said.

He missed Way but he was mad at him. He was mad at Way for allowing them to drift apart. He was mad at Way for intentionally burying himself in work to make it impossible for Kim to reach out to him when they were going to the same thing.

"Beautiful? Did you just call me beautiful? Do you even know what it means to be beautiful? I am far from beautiful Way. I am depressed, alone and miserable. And it's all thanks to you and your stupid work. And with that Kim went and shut himself in their room.

Way came back from work that day. He took two weeks off to make it up to Kim, but when me got inside he saw an horrific scene.

His everything, on the floor with closed eyes and foam coming from his mouth. His heart stopped.

"Kim! Kim!! Kim!!! Stay with me. Baby please"

Desperation could he heard from his voice. He checked Kim's pulse after calling an ambulance and to his relief, Kim was still breathing. It was weak but it was there.

The ambulance came and Kim was rushed into it and taken to the hospital. Way stayed by him.

Turns out Kim tried to poison himself but he was receiving treatment

"Kim, I'm sorry. Please wake up. I wanna see you smile again. I wanna feel your touch again. I know I've neglected you but it was all because I saw how sad you were and decided to work on something to make you happy. I'm sorry for neglecting you."

After some time Kim finally woke up. Way was overjoyed. Kim was still mad at Way but he gave him a chance and Way took Kim to a surprise he planned specially for him.

Way took Kim to somewhere a bit familiar. The racing ring that Way trained Kim in. But this time it was bigger and looked like a professional racing site. And everyone was here too; Babe, Alan, Jeff, Sonic, Dean, North. It's been long Kim saw them.

"Welcoming all to Mr Kim's racing ground". North said grinning ear to ear

Kim couldn't believe it. This is what Way has been working on all this while.

"This is why you've been busy with work"

"Yes baby. I saw how devastated you are so i met up with Alan and we worked on it.  I funded it financially"

"Then why are you giving it to me?"

"Well I have a lot to take care of, and this is to make up for all the lost time"

"You don't need to give this to me. I love you and I've missed you"

They hugged and kissed. Way pulled something out of his pocket and went on his knees and revealed the most beautiful diamond ring Kim has ever seen.

"I know I've failed In my duties as a lover to you recently, but seeing you on the floor motionless broke me. I don't think I can live without you Kim. So please, make me the happiest man on earth and agree to marry me".

Kim couldn't believe his ears. He started crying.

"I love you Way. And yes I'll marry you"

They kissed and the others cheered
