What Happened at the Restaurant

THE DAY THAT CHANGED EVERYTHING

"Expect the unexpected", three words which can pretty much sum up my life. 

I was always your average school girl, kind off blonde hair , not dumb - unlike most people would think , fair height and overall, nothing special about me. 

Here I was , after another average , no , it was one of the best days of my life . 

The swim team captain , Ryan aka my crush hugged me . 

How could someone not have a crush on him. 

Tall, leaned body , unlike the big ugly muscled men , chiseled jawline , face of a Greek god and the best feature of him , his blue eyes that anyone can drown into . 

That few seconds are gonna be seared in my brain for eternity .

Being the love crazed chick I was , the only thing I could think were his arms . 

As the memories led me to Elysium ,my legs had dragged me to a dark alley. 

I wasn't aware of that until that moment when I heard a bang a familiar shriek , it seemed too familiar for my own liking . 

I took off in the direction as fast as I could . 

Soon enough , I reached a clearing and the scene there made my blood freeze . 

There laid my best friend , Alyssa , lying in a pool of her own blood . 

There was a bullet sized hole through her forehead and it didn't need a genius to figure out what happened. 

Above her , stood the school's bitch Jessica with some huge ass men who were most likely goons .

But the one thing which was unusual is , Jessica did not look like herself at all . 

She was the prime slut in the school, skirts which barely cover her knees , crop tops for god knows what , caked make up and acts like a pick me . 

Contrastingly , she was dressed like a gangster with little make up and hell , she was intimidating .

But at that moment , I did not care about all that . 

All I saw was red , I started to charge at her but suddenly , my legs weren't on the ground anymore . 

Two of her goons were holding me up . Jessica started walking towards me in a slow , menacing way.

"Well , well , well , look who decided to show up ", her voice has changed too , like a woman who has been involved in the mafia.

"You jj...jjj..just shot my best friend on the spot', the adrenaline rush was gone and now all I could feel was fear . 

These people could do anything to me at any given moment .

"Not so brave huh , wrong place wrong time sweetie", she snapped her fingers and all I knew was black.

Next time I could open my eyes , I was in a dark room , gagged , hands tied around a chair with some of that bitch's goons watching over me . 

One of them dialed a number and called someone . 

Few minutes later , the queen bitch was here again , guess she was the one she called . 

"So , you finally decided to wake up ", she sneered at me . 

"What the fuck do you want " and I felt a searing pain all over my face. 

" You will behave here", she said , more like ordered. 

" Yes". "Yes mam ", she amended me

"Yes mam"

"So you listen and you better listen good now . You have crossed paths with me in the worst possible moment . I never wanted anyone to know this side of me . I could just leave you easily , but the probability of you blabbering this to someone is too high . So , you leave me with two choices , either embrace your future life by joining us or join your friend over there , or wait , I got something even better "

She beckoned one of her goons to her side and he handed her his mobile . 

There was a live video call going on . 

That wasn't the issue , the issue was that it was covering my home . 

Jessica seemed to have turned my house into chaos . 

Stuff scattered everywhere, sheets torn , furnitures broken , windows shattered . 

Overall , my home didn't seem like home anymore .

It wasn't even the worst part , my parents were tied up just like me but they seemed to be in a conversation with some men , most probably Jessica's men .

"So , this is how your family is right now , not just you , your family is facing the consequences of you running into me . You should have turned your back when you heard that gun shot sweetie , too late for that now , so what do you choose " , she snapped her fingers and one of the bastards shot my dad in the arm . 

I could hear his groans of agony through the mobile .

I didn't realise I was crying until I felt wet stains on my face . 

She took my duct tape and the only words which I could utter were " Leave my dad alone " which came out more as a scream.

"Tsk , tsk look how pathetic you are, crying for your daddy. If you don't want him or your family going through anything more , you know what to do "

I just nodded numbly

"I hope a good answer within two days , hope you won't disappoint me and , I will take care of your dad , for once " . 

She called one of her goons and asked me to drop me off at my home .

I just nodded and went with that guy , all the way home , I was just thinking what happened today . 

Only if I hadn't thought about Ryan , only if Alyssa hadn't been caught by the bitch , everything would have been fine . 

It was already night time by the time I reached home . 

I thought nothing could make my day worse , but alas , I was wrong as always , my home was ruined . 

My parents were standing outside my house , their eyes said everything.

My life has entered into a territory which was scary and which I didn't want to explore into .

The neighborhood was illuminated with so many lights and laughter coming but here I was , so much had happened in a single day . 

My mom was the first one to come to me . She said nothing but hugged me . 

I did nothing but break down in her arms. 

She escorted me into my home and we sat on the couch , my dad and mom facing me. 

 " Explain everything" , dad asked me . 

Guess he wanted to hear everything from me . 

His hands were bandaged . 

Guess those men helped him .

And again I started , reliving the horrible past few hours . 

When I was done , I was just staring at them with blank eyes . 

 My mom just came towards me and asked me to sleep . 

I didn't even argue , I just went to my room and closed my eyes, with a hope all of this is a nightmare ..... 🥀🥀
