It had been 2 months since the incident with the abduction and assassination of Yasir Shiekh. The suspect was still unknown to this day, several cases of human trafficking, money laundering and bribery with regards to Yasir courtesy of Waqas who was promoted to regional officer and awarded with a highly respected military talisman to recognize his efforts to the police force.

Alizeh was put on death row, who was not only responsible for the attempted murder of Mirha but also played a crucial role in the abduction and murder of the 5 year old Halima, the daughter of Waqas. Yasir Shiekh was found to be under a greater influence for a very long time, proving Alizeh to not be an ordinary part timer but the one who held the puppets strings in the show of world politics.

But her love for Ashar brought her to ruin. Whilst going against the world, she lost sense of reality, far off then humanity. Fate is cruel sometimes, bur it's always the better option to accept it, then oppose it while doing the worst you don't even realize. But now everything had come to an end, and the storm, once again, had come to pass and the state of peace and calm had returned. That incident had led Ashar to leave the dark profession of a mafia leader and bring himself back to an earnest life. He had settled his underlings into considerate positions in the outside world.

It was another Monday morning. I woke up at 8, looked to the right to realize like every other day that I had succeeded in achieving the greatest dream of my life. I pecked Mirha's forehead who laid beside me, she charmingly smiled unconsciously, lost in her sleep.

I dressed up in my usual casual check shirt tucked out with denim jeans pants with white sneakers, I folded my sleeves a little below the elbow line and wore a Tissot Chrono XL with a brown leather strap and a chromium finish to the buckle.

I walked out through the front door, and sat in my usual Chrysler 300 to head out to work. I had planned to take Mirha out on a date after I'm done with work, because it was our wedding anniversary today.

𝐌𝐢𝐫𝐡𝐚'𝐬 𝐏𝐎𝐕:

While dreaming I always felt his morning kisses on my forehead, even when I'm not asleep i still pretended to be just to feel the warmth of it gush through me. But this morning, I thought lying there that something was missing, like this one meant more than just a peck on the forehead, something should've been different. The fact that I couldn't figure it out made my heart start to sink slowly.

After putting a lot of effort into my memory, I felt the wave of despair wash over me as I realized it was our wedding anniversary. Now it made sense why Ashar whispered in my ear in the middle of the night that I was the best gift he ever had. I woke up almost instantly, knowing there was only one way to make things right, I would have to make a special lunch for him today and personally deliver him.

I woke up and pulled up all my messy hair together in a bun. I had to look good today because it was my first time I would be showcasing myself in his office. I knew of the fact that he operated an entire company which tended to be one of the most fundamental and successful businesses in the world.

I skimmed through my drawer, looking for something special for the occasion. If Ashar found me as gift he got, then i will become the prettiest gift he ever had. The confidence in my words had been built brick by brick by Ashar himself, the way he complimented however I dressed or looked, he made me feel safe to think that maybe there actually was something special about me that could pull a gem like Ashar closer to my heart.
