Burning love

First time apart

It's 3 AM Stella just got up and wishes she could go back to bed but she can't. She has to get ready for her flight. Stella leans against the kitchen counter and waites for her hot chocolate to get warm, she isn't the kind of person who has to drink a coffee in the morning to get fully awake. In fact Stella hates coffee. After she has made her drink she goes to the kitchen table and begins to eat her cereal, while she eats she watches TV even if she really isn't interested in whats going up there she needs something keeping her from falling asleep. After an hour Stella is fully dressed and ready to leave. She goes outside and waites for her Uber. Stella doesn't actually has a car or even a liscence but she ownes motorcycle which Alexei shipes to London after Stella arrives there. Stella shifts her whole attention to her cat Simba. Stella is quite excitet for her flight since she has  fear of flying she hopes that Simba can distract her. As she arrives at the airport she checks in and takes a seat in the waiting lounge. It's currently 5 AM and Stella hopes that she could just go to bed again and sleep. To pass the time she has to wait Stella reads her new book she just buyed. She just got into the exciting part of the story as she gets a message from her phone. Stella lays the bookmark into the book and takes out her phone.

She opens WhatsApp and goes through her notifications. Most of them are only unimportant except one that catches her eye. Alexei messaged her. She knows that he normally gets up for his job at 5 AM but she didn't expected to get a message from him. He asked if she got to airport well and how she was. Stella was happy that he wrote her because she was getting really bored. Stella wrote him, that she is really excited about the flight but also a bit scared. Alexei knew about her fear of flying beause he once flew with her to Austria for a class trip and she held a strong grip on the armrest. Since Alexei isn't good in comforting he just said that there were "only" 850 plane crashed in 80 years in the USA and that obviously wasnt't helping much. So this time he just tries to distract her with smalltalk and he tries to keep the conversation going. "So is there something youre going to miss from London?" he asks her while getting ready for his work. Stella thinks for a minute and then replies with "the coffee shop in the park, i loved the coffee there so much!". Alexei quickly replies with "not me? Im dissapointed" in a joking way. This really helped Stella and she almost forgot that she is going to be in a plane soon. Suddenly all the passengers from the flight to Connecticut were asked to board, so Stella texts Alexei a quick message that saiys that she has to board anf'd that she'll call him once she arrived at her new dorm. Then she starts to board. The flight actually goes well, she focused on her book most of the time and cuddles with her cat Simba. At 6 PM she arrives at the Yale campus and she goes straight to her dorm to get rid of her package. As she gets into her dorm she notices that she got a single room which are usually more expensive but Stella thinks she just got lucky, what she doesn't know that that wasn't a coincidence, but someone payed for to get Stella a better dorm. Once she unpacked her most important it was almost 8 PM and she realised that she had forgot to call Alexei. As she realised this she jumoed from her bed throwing her book away, picks her phone up and calls Alexei. After three rings Alexei finally picks up and the first thing Stella hears is "You called really late. Did you forgot me?" Stella gets quite flustered and answeres while stuttering "uhm...no.. the plane was late". Stella can hear Alexei chuckle through the phone then he anwers "just admit it you forgot me" Stella admits it but Alexei isn't mad at her because he had to work longer than expected. Now they started a new conversation about how she distracted herself on the plane and how beautiful the campus is but then Stella wanted to know about Alexei's day and how his work went. But Alexei like always tries to change the topic and to avoid his job but this time Stella wouldn't let the topic go.

"I talk about my whole life to you but you barely ever tell me anything about yours, why? do you trust me that less?" Stella gets quite aggressive without noticing. Alexei stays silent for a couple minutes and then speaks up again in a calm voice "Work was annoying, my father wants me to take over his company and he always corrects me on everything". As Alexei speaks Stella realise how angry she sounded and she feels really sorry for that. Before Stella could apologise she hears someone yelling "Mister Serra?" through the phone and Alexei immediatly speaks up "Im coming. Sorry Stel i have to go. Sleep well." With that Alexei hangs up the phone and Stella feels really bad now.

Stella feeds Simba and then go to the beathroom to brush her theeth. Then she goes to bed and reads a bit until 9 PM, then she heads to sleep.
