Aarohi entered the xyz cafe, where she spotted her bff Rajveer sitting at the corner table while waiting for her. She went near his seat, throwed her bag on the table in frustration, and settled down there.
"Aaruuuu , are you okay ? Did something else happen at home ? Did someone say something to you ? You called me urgently here now, are you okay ???" He asked her in a breath.
"Pause Veer pause , let me breath first then I'll tell you everything that happened just now." She replied to him lazily. After a minute of pause, Aarohi started to narrate her life's happening with her friend.
"So dad found out about my result and he scolded me and even slapped me. I cried & overthink for a while but now I am okay. I called you here cause I wanted to talk to someone who understands me and you understand me & my situation very well."
Rajveer sighed before speaking. "Aaru, you shouldn't bother yourself by thinking about what your dad said. He is wrong to pressurise you this much, but you know him very well; he just cares about his reputation, and it's nothing new to you; he has been like this with you for ages now. Don't let such things bother you; you are well aware of your health conditions, yet you're bothering yourself because of his mean comments."
Rajveer tried to comfort her, and he also tried to cheer up her bad mood. Aarohi listened to him carefully.
After thinking for a while, she replied to him,"I know Veer, but what can I do? No matter how they behave with me, I still care for them, and their poisonous words hurt me a lot, even though I know they never changed their behaviour towards me in the past 16 years."
"Dad gave me a last warning. He said that if I fail to get a top rank in the college, then he will get me married. He says that he favoured me by letting me choose hotel management as my subject, even though he still opposes me for this career. He wants me to join his business and handle it like the way your brother does." Aarohi rolled her eyes in irritation as she remembered Aditya.
"Meri life ka aadha problem tumhare Bhai ki wajah se hai. Aadhe wakt daant bhi unki wajah se padti hai mujhe."She said it in an annoying tone.
( Half of the problems in my life are because of your brother. Half of the time, I'm scolded because of him. )
"I know this, Aaru. Just ignore his words. Aaru, focus on yourself. You're well aware of his uninterested nature, yet you're bothering yourself with his so-called pride. Aur rahi baat bhai ki, uss maamle mein main kuch nahi bol sakta kyuki tum dono ki personality clash hai." He laughed at his own words while she glared at him.
