BEOMGYU'S POV

Once the call ended I was about to change into something more clean

If I was going to confess, I needed to look presentable

I saw my parents leave the house with Minju's parents and Minhee

Even though Minju was still at home, they hadn't invited either of us

Maybe they have trust issues with Minhee?

I was about to close my curtains, but I realised Minju wasn't in her room

I didn't think too much about it and closed the curtains as I found a t-shirt from my closet

Yeonjun was just about to leave, since I told him 10 times already that I had plans

Just as I was starting to change someone came into my room, Jeong Minju

Her face was shocked and she turned around immediately

' Oh my gos— I'm so sorry!' she apologised with her eyes covered

' Does it matter? I am your boyfriend after all ' I chuckled sarcastically at her

' Really Gyu? Now's not the time!' she exclaimed

I heard my parents park their car outside

I put my shirt on, just to find out it was a sleeveless top

' Sleeveless, really? ' I said out loud

Minju turned around as we heard footsteps come upstairs

I took her wrist gently, and hid in the closet. I was really close to her face

' Beomgyu?! Do you remember where my charger is?' worst timing dad

I sped out of the room while trying to be careful

' It's in the kitchen! ' I shouted to him

' Okay thanks! Have some medicine too, your brother is coming over!' medicine?

That's when I heard my mum gasp

' Choi Beomgyu! What are these shoes doing here?!' they must've been Minju's

I came downstairs and saw her shocked face

They were just Nike's so it wasn't too bad so I easily made an excuse

' Yeonjun bought an extra pair of shoes to let me borrow. His phone is off so he can't talk right now—'

Mrs and Mr Jeong came in, worst day of my life

' Oh those are Minju's shoes! Isn't she studying though? ' her mother said

' You lied?!' your mum loudly whispered with a threatening look

' Oh yeah, and Beomgyu's sick ' your father interrupted

' If he's ill why is he wearing a sleeveless top?' Mr Jeong said

Minju planned them a dinner or what? I had to use my acting skills to use now

' I was looking for a clean shirt but I only had sleeveless. I was going to wear a hoodie until you screamed my name ' I met eye contact with dad

' Where's Minju then? Choi Beomgyu, you don't need to lie ' her mum asked

' She went to the bathroom to wash her hands, we're only studying though! ' I ran straight upstairs to my room and opened my closet

' Am I ill now? What lie's did you make up ' I asked her furiously

'Sunghoon made up all of that. I'll explain later though—'

' Choi Beomgyu! Jeong Minju! We need to talk, now!' your father screamed

' Oh my god, hurry up!'

We both calmly walked downstairs while all our parents looked furious, as well as Minhee with her dumb smirk

' Where's your hoodie Beomgyu? Or were you too busy... y'know with your girlfriend?' Minhee teased

' You two in the living room, now ' your mum said with her face full of anger

I pulled on a random jacket lying around and sat beside Minju

' Why do you have a problem with us?' Minju spoke up

' When did we say we did?' dad said surprisingly

' So why did you sound so mad?' Minju said, confused

' We aren't really upset with your relationship. But Minju, your parents don't want you to date Beomgyu. I'm not sure why—'

' When did we say that?' Minju's father said which was surprising from how overprotective he was

' I didn't say that either ' her mother agreed

I wonder what their faces would be when they realise we're lying

' So what's going on?' said from my father

' You didn't text me saying that your daughter shouldn't date my son? ' mum added on

' No, never!' Minju's parents said in sync

Then everyone looked at Minhee

' Can you blame me? Dad said she's not allowed to be in a relationship anyway!' she shouted while paying more attention to her nails and her phone

' Not exactly, I said she needs to focus on her finals rather than looking for a boyfriend ' her father said

' Yeah, and we started dating when we were hanging out after school ' Minju said to make up an excuse

' I'm still upset you two didn't tell us sooner!' both the mums started sulking

' We'll leave now, make sure you're only studying! ' dad pointed at us two with a serious look on his face

' Jeong Minhee. You're grounded when we get home!' her father snapped at her

Eventually they left, and we went back upstairs to my room

Minju sighed then spoke without me realising ' Beomgyu, I—'

' I have genuine feelings for you' I interrupted
