I hate to admit it but sometimes you never get over someone. At night from time to time, I see his dark, curly hair with my fingers in it. I see his beautiful brown eyes looking into mine. I see him and me, together, our hands intertwined. Yet I haven't been that close to him since I was 16, 17. Our bodies move closer and closer and...

"Jay!"

A voice snaps me out of my thoughts.

"Jaya Avani Joshi are you listening to anything I say?"

My best friend, Jaelyn Sommers, snaps me out of my fantasy.

"Jaelyn."

I reply, my voice full of sarcasm.

"Jaya, where you paying any attention to what I just said?"

Jae says to me, a frown on his face

"If I say yes, would you believe me?"

"Not for a second."

He replies.

"Good, cause I wasn't paying attention."

I hear Jae mutter "fucking hell" under his breath before turn back to me.

"Well now I have to repeat everything that I just said won't I?"

He says, full of sass

"Turn down the sass, Sommers."

"Not until you listen to me."

"Sorry, I'll listen this time, I promise Jae."

"Good."

He smiles.

"So you know that guy I met?"

"Alistair?"

I ask just wanting to make sure it was the right guy.

"Yeah, Ali."

"Ali?" I laugh, "On nicknames already I see."

"Shut up." Jae says blushing.

"Anyway he invited me for coffee, today and I'm scared and I don't know what to wear and what if he just wants to be friends not more-than-friends and..."

Jae rambles.

"I'm gonna cut your gay as fuck rambling of there. You have a crush on Alistair Gomez and I'm sure he has a crush on you Jae because who with taste wouldn't?"

Jae blushes again.

"And isn't someone for a coffee like gay man, fuck me code?"

Jae laughs at that,

"I hope so. I really really like him."

He smiles.

"Anyways enough about my love life, what about yours Jay?"
