“This is the third floor, and where you’ll be staying for the next month.” Miss Sabrina declared. It was a long hallway with light blue walls, and light coloured small birds all on the wallpaper. At the end of the hall is where a TV, a couch, and some tables were. Miss Sabrina took me down the hall and brought me to my room. My new room looked small and bland. The walls were a light grey. Nothing was in the room except a small wooden bed, and a tall window behind the bed. “checks happen every night so don't be alarmed when there's a flashlight shining on your face.” Sabrina stated.

I placed down my suitcase in the empty room, dust flew around everywhere I moved, I coughed, the dust particles flowed in my lungs as I inhaled, it seemed like they hadn't touched this room in months. “Well I'll be on my way, get comfortable.” Miss Sabrina touched the doorway and turned her body to leave. “If you need anything I'll be in my office, lunch starts at 1.” Miss Sabrina shut the door as the handle made a click. One of the last noises there was in my room. I sat on my creaky old bed and stared at the wooden floor, no sound but the thoughts in my head.

I questioned and questioned myself. My mind went in circles as I assumed this everyday
