After we ate I brought her to my hotel, she immediately jumped onto a bed (there are two in the room) and fell asleep. I meandered around town and did random things all day, waiting for nightfall. When I returned to the hotel, Raven was still sound asleep. It had been twelve hours but from looking at the bags under her eyes she needed it and a lot more.

I left her a note and went back to the castle, doing the same thing I did the night before. This time the castle was heavily guarded left and right. Interesting... I walked along the edge of the woods, waiting for the right time to break in, I doubt there will be a time, not with a bunch of bats flying above me.

I crouched down, as a few guards walked past me. After they walked away, I walked in the opposite direction, behind me a stick snapped. A vampiric guard stood behind me, sneering as he drew a dagger. I growled and attacked him, ripping him apart. It may be cowardly of me and not in my nature but I ran.

I shifted back into my human form, hopped into my car and drove at a dangerous speed through town to the hotel. Raven was up walking around the room

"We have to go!" I said

"Why?" Raven asked, concerned

"We have to," I said, throwing all my stuff into my bag "I'd explain but you're a human so you wouldn't understand."

I made a mad dash down the five flights of stairs, Raven close behind me as we ran to my car

"Can you please tell me why we're running? And who we're running from?"

"Your human brain won't comprehend the predicament, I got us in."

"I know all about werewolves, fae, sirens, mermaids, the different shifters and vampires." She said

I stopped outside of the hotel lobby and looked at the woman

"You know about vampires?" I asked enthusiastically

"Very little, only by folklore did I learn about them."

"Oh, ok." I said "Let's go, the sooner we leave the faster sweet relief will come."

"You're the one who stopped." Raven said

"You stopped too." I pointed out

"Yes, because you're like a mountain that I can't go around and I stopped to answer your question."

We made it to my car, no vampires in sight and we hightailed it out of the middle of the woods Maine. Raven couldn't stop looking out the rear window, this was all new to her and I may scare her when I introduce her to my kind, not that we're much different than humans. She knows about us and other paranormal creatures as the humans call us, so she should be ok.

Maddox was on the front steps of the palace, looking confused

"What did you do?"

"I'll explain inside." I said, racing up the steps with my bag

Maddox followed after me glancing at Raven suspiciously every minute. When we arrived at my room, Raven quietly sat down on my beanbag chair in the corner of my room. I was worried Maddox wouldn't like her, why am I so worried about how Mad feels towards her?

"So Magnus, care to explain who she is and what you found?" Maddox asked

"Not in front of her." I said, pushing him out of the room "Raven, I'll be back."

"Don't worry about me." She said "I'll be checking out the mini library you have in here."

Maddox pulled me from the room to his next to mine, shutting the door behind us "Who the hell is she? What have you learned?"
