❝ 01 , you've got a face on ❞

King's Cross Station was as busy as it always was. Families ran across the platforms to reach trains and business men in their suits, shoved through crowds with an all-important air to them. Ella-Rose was used to the Muggles as they ran back and forth; she had grown to ignore them as they headed down to the arch between Platforms 9 and 10.

Margaret - her mum - was pushing her trolley which had her trunk, the cat carrier for her kitty Biscuit and her backpack placed on it. James Potter was pushing his own trolley, weaving between the crowds expertly as Ella walked by his side. James' parents - Euphemia and Fleamont - were talking with Margaret. They had all travelled to London together to drop the kids off for their Seventh Year and they planned to go shopping after they were gone.

Ella didn't pay much attention to them as she and James talked about what time everyone else was going to get to the station until they came to a stop before the entrance to Platform 9 and ¾. None of the muggles were paying the group any attention and James looked down at Ella, giving her a wry smile.

"Ready?" He asked. Ella nodded and they both grabbed a hold of the handle of the trolley before breaking into a sprint towards the entrance. Everything was dark for a moment as they passed through the bricks before it opened up into a new station. The Hogwarts Express was already standing-by and it was still an hour before the train was due to leave so there were only a few groups of people talking on the platform.

James directed them away from the entrance and a second later, Margaret, Fleamont and Euphemia came through. The Platform was an exact mirror of King's Cross Station but there was something distinctly magical about it. There was always a sense of wonder that settled in Ella's stomach when she arrived on the Platform. It was soothing.

Ella let go of the trolley and she turned around to the parents. They had all stopped a little away from the entrance. Margaret had a soft smile on her face and Ella traded places with Fleamont and Euphemia. For a moment, the platform lost all of its noise and Ella was just there with her mum, on her last trip to Hogwarts. It was Seventh Year. There was no going back now.

"I'm so proud of you, Ellie," Margaret said softly as she let go of the trolley to take a hold of Ella's hands. Ella smiled, tilting her cheek into Margaret's shoulder and gripped her mum's hands just as tightly.

"My last year," Ella mumbled. Margaret nodded and she let go of Ella's hands to cup her cheeks, "You're gonna make me cry." A soft chuckle escaped Margaret's lips, tears already filling her eyes as she looked down at her daughter.

"This is the last time I get to see my little chick go to Hogwarts. Let me cry," Margaret said, her voice thick with happiness. Ella chuckled and then wrapped her arms around her mum's waist, hugging her tightly.
