League of Extraordinary Gaming Characters

Ch. 9 (Final Chapter)

December 22, 2899

After the events that happened on Mars with the League and the Evil Army, both the people associated with them, Activision, and Bethesda were held accountable and their companies were temporarily shutdown until a new leader was replaced and took control of the company. The original leaders and some employees of the companies were imprisoned for life on the Moon prison for the crimes and destruction they have caused onto the other gaming companies, and for the attempted assassination of the gaming company leaders. While that was happening, the programs that were part of the League came back together on Earth to host a funeral for their fallen member, Spyro. The other Spyro programs created a shrine and a statue for Spyro outside the mansion. All the members of the League, the Spyros, all their friends, and all the programs, and programmers that they saved stood around the statue of Spyro and mourned for his absence.

Link: You remember in the beginning where he said that his fans will never allow him to die?

They looked at Link who had Coco holding his arm with Crash on their side.

Mega Man: Yeah. What about it?

Link: I wish he was right.

Samus who was out of her armor and now in her blue suit knelt down and placed some bits of her hair right by the toes of the statue. Ratchet immediately noticed that she had a tear running down her face.

Samus: He was a good friend, no one else could've asked for anyone better.

Sly Cooper: Indeed. So what now?

Ratchet: What do you mean?

Sly Cooper: What do we do now that he's gone along with the Evil Army? Do we just go back to our normal lives or are we still a team?

Mega Man: The way I see it is that we can go back to our normal lives now, but in the end, we are a team at heart. We will always be there when our people or our creators need us. But for now, I want to see this world anew as the century turns.

Sonic: Amen to that.

Sly Cooper: I'm okay with that, I would like to meet back with my friends anyways.

Samus: I think I'm gonna spend whatever's left of this century with the people I love, and that's all that matters to me at the end of the day. Will any of you join me?

Ratchet: Yeah, I'll catch up after I say a few words.

Coco: I think it's only right if we stick around for these words.

Link: Agreed.

They all held their hands together and had their heads down as Ratchet spoke.

Ratchet: We could not ask for a better leader, nor a better friend than what you were Spyro. But know this, if there is a heaven for us programs, I hope you are looking down upon us to see how much we improve over the next years to come. Everyone, including us will remember who you were, and what you did for us programs. History will remember you for your heroism, courage, but most of all, your sacrifice.

Ratchet then placed a quarter right by the feet of the statue.

Ratchet: Goodbye Spyro.

Coco looked up towards the statue and saw the quarter by the feet. She quickly sprang up and grabbed the quarter from the feet.

Coco: Where did you get this?!

Ratchet: I found it off of Spyro, it was all that was left of him. I just thought it would be nice to put on his statue.

Coco: You're an absolute genius!!

Ratchet: Oh well I was just doing what he might've liked.

Coco: No I mean you were a genius for retrieving this.
