One--Two--Three.
There are three facts in life:
(1) Death is inevitable; An age old idea--No, a fact, proven over and over by billions upon billions throughout history. Not even the most beloved survive. There is no such treasure (or curse) as The Fountain of Youth. No terrifyingly wonderful ultimatum like immortal life. Really, if you play your cards right, there may not even be a horrid wonder like success.
(2) The moment you realize you are happy, you will be unhappy. It is kairosclerosis; We notice we are happy, so we obsess and pick and brutally tear apart that moment (or moments) of joy until they blend in with the bitterness of the rest of our mundane lives, and become nothing more than a bad aftertaste.
(3) There is no such thing as beauty. Beauty is a word. Spelled b-e-a-u-t-y. It has become a persons social identity. An idea so set in everyone's minds that there are magazines, books, companies, schools, careers, devoted to human beauty. But it is still something constructed by humans; Our primal instincts blown out of proportion. Take the people away, and what is beauty then?
