After your manic episode, you had decided to go straight to bed. You could call in sick, technically you were. Call in sick, sit in bed and do nothing for the day. It wasn't ideal, it wasn't productive and surely wasn't a good thing for you. But you didn't know what to do, you could go back to school and teach as if nothing were wrong. But you didn't know if you could keep it under wraps.
Your realization of the circumstance you seemed to be in made you spiral even more. You hated feeling this way, yet your mind seemed to turn back to him. You sat up in bed, holding your head as your expression soured. If you didn't end up sleeping, it'd fuel your hysteria.
You groaned, tossing and turning in your sleep. Everytime you'd think you were falling asleep, your mind would round back to your insanity. Imagining his face, his sharp green eyes, the soft expression he often wore. You were going absolutely insane. You awoke the next morning, just enough time to start your car and head to school. You were debating on even getting up, you sat up. Looking out the window, the sun was slightly peeking over the horizon. You sighed, throwing your covers over yourself again.
After a few minutes of desperately trying to fall back asleep, you got up. Instead of your initial plan, staying in bed until you spiraled. You decided maybe going to school wasn't that bad, and maybe you could just ignore Demi. Maybe... You weren't sure if it was you thinking or the little voice in the back of your head. You swung your legs over the edge of your bed, running a hand lazily through your hair. You probably looked like shit, felt like it too.
You groaned as you reluctantly walked over to the bathroom. Splashing your face with water, scrubbing it aggressively. You had forgotten to remove your guy liner once again, and everytime you scrubbed it, the product got into your eyes it stung like hell. You reached for a towel, patting it dry. Your hair was messy atop your head, you knew it was tangled. You reached into a drawer under the counter, pulling out a brush. You began to detangle your hair, it wasn't too tangled, which you were thankful for.
After brushing your hair, and making it look acceptable, you checked the clock. You were about 30 minutes late now... You shrugged, that's a problem for future you. You stumbled over to your closet, fishing through it as you threw clothes backwards onto your bed. By the end of it, you ended up with a white button up, a pair of black slacks, and a matching pair of suspenders. You couldn't escape it could you? Slowly you slipped your outfit of the day on, looking at yourself in the mirror. You looked like him, felt like him.
You sighed, grabbing Demi's bag and slinging it over your shoulder. Grabbing your keys and walking out your house, locking the door behind you and walking towards your car. Unlocking it and stepping in, throwing Demi's bag into the back seat and starting up the car. Turning up the radio just slightly. You pulled out your driveway and made your way to the school. You drove past multiple houses and stores, the usual in the morning. You watched as the school grew closer and closer to you. You were still iffy, iffy about returning.
It was odd to you, that your manic episode had these effects on you. You weren't even completely sure how you managed to freak out when you came to your realization. But isn't that how it is with friends? You realize you're close, then can't imagine not being around them because you're so used to them? You sighed deeply, pulling into the parking lot of the school. Parking close to the back door. You stepped out the car, walking to the back door and swinging it open. Grabbing Demi's bag, it's dark brown leather shining dully under the sun.
