You gave it your all, truly, but delving into a completely new language proved more daunting than anticipated, especially when it came to the intricate complexities of Chinese.
The multitude of characters, each imbued with its own distinct tone, presented a formidable challenge.
Thus, it came as no shock when Sukuna's fan connected with your forehead, eliciting a wince of pain.
You had faltered in rendering a character on the paper with your black ink, and Sukuna's admonishment was swift. "Focus," he grunted, observing your struggle with each stroke.
Seated beneath the shelter of a covered corridor encircling the building's perimeter, you found yourself not within the palace walls, but at a shrine chosen by Sukuna for your training.
Here, in the serene surroundings, you were forced to hone your linguistic skills.
With a pout, you massaged your throbbing forehead before crumpling the paper into a ball and throwing it to the growing mound of discarded attempts behind you.
With a sigh, you tried again, repeating the same character for the sixth time, just to be able to master it.
"My lord, they have arrived," Uraume announced with a respectful bow. Sukuna, rising from his seated position, straightened his hakama with a hum.
"She," he addressed you, "Continue tomorrow." With that, he departed, leaving you to your diligent endeavors.
As Sukuna and Uraume departed, you swiftly disposed of the crumpled paper, stretching out on the grass to bask in the warm embrace of the sun and the gentle caress of the breeze against your skin.
The day was radiant, and the sensation was undeniably blissful.
Yet, the weight of your training bore heavily on you. Each day seemed to present new challenges, and your struggle to grasp the intricacies of the language only intensified.
Could you truly surpass them all?
With a heavy sigh, you gathered your belongings and made your way back to the palace.
While walking through the halls, you couldn't help but notice the envious glances of the maids, their eyes lingering on you for being able to do whatever you wanted while they toiled away at their tasks.
It was a privilege granted by Sukuna himself, ensuring you had the entire month solely devoted to your studies. There would be no room for excuses.
The memory of the sakes being taken away from you tugged at your thoughts, prompting a slight pout.
