we woke up the next day and got ready for our first mission, we wore our demon slayer clothes, and we put our haori on top, oh, and i also forgot to mention, that when we came back from final selection mr. urokodaki gave me a new haori and black and white cat stockings as a gift. then we went to urokodaki who was waiting in the kitchen.
"have you gotten changed?" urokodaki asked us
we nodded and replied yes
then we sat down facing urokodaki.
"Tanjiro, Ayame." urkodaki started
"now that you're starting out with the demon slayer corps, i'd like to explain 2 things to you." he said
"right" tanjiro nodded
"that demon slayers outfit you are wearing right now, it's made of a special kind of fiber, the fabric is quite breathable, yet it repels moisture and wont burn easily, a low-level demon's talons or fangs couldn't even manage to tear that uniform." urokodaki explained
"whoa, is it really that strong?" i asked
"yes, also, those nirchirin swords of yours the color varies from owner to owner and each hue has unique properties, but since not many people end up with black blades, little is known about them, so little in fact that-"
"so little is known that... what mr. urokodaki?" tanjiro asked
"black blades are said to be wielded by swordsmen who'll never go far." urokodaki said
"i don't know how i'll do in the demon slayer corps, but i am going to turn nezuko back into a human no matter what, right ayame?" tanjiro said
"right!" i said and smiled
"yes you're right, i have faith that you two will make that happen" urokodaki encouraged us
"right" we said
we stood up to get ready to leave until urokodaki wanted to show us something
"tanjiro, one more thing, take this, it's a box for you to carry your sister in during the day, built out of an extremely light wood, called Cloud Mist Pine, i coated it with rock lacquer to reinforce it's exterior and to make it even more durable." urokodaki explained while showing us a wooden box.
"thank you very much!" tanjiro thanked then he picked it up to analyze everything of it.
"it's so light! it's really light mr .urokodaki! ayame! feel it!" he said handing it to me
"wow! you're right, cloud mist pine, huh? this is crazy mr.urokodaki! it is so lightweight!!" i said
then tanjiro put it down in front of nezuko who was peeking at us from a hole in the blanket.
"nezuko! get inside this would you? can you do it?" tanjiro said exitedly, then i saw the blanket moving and i ran over to see and nezuko stuffed herself inside and cuddled up in there.
"nezuko, from now on we're always going to be together alright?" tanjiro said
after that he closed the box and put it on like a backpack.
"okay ayame, lets go!" tanjiro said
we walked out of the door and said goodbye to mr.urokodaki. for the last time sadly.
"All right, we'll be going now." i said
"hold on, do you mind?" mr urokodaki said, he walked to us and ajusted our clothes
he placed his hands on our shoulders and nodded, we nodded back.
then we started walking and waved at mr .urokodaki
