"Jungkook I expected more of you,"
"Dad,look I don't know what she's told you but that's not my baby."
"Jungkook! Of course it is the dates match," Rosa interjected.
"Rosa...I'm not denying we were together but it was a hook up,I used protection and you told me you were on birth control!"
"But that's not reliable look I have a doctors note."
"Jungkook you must do right by the girl...Rosa has nowhere to go which is why she came to us," his mother said laying a gentle hand on his arm.
"Mum I'm not going to marry a girl I barely know just because you think you have a grandchild!"
Rosa started sniffing...
"This has gone on long enough,we have been here over an hour! I insist you take Rosa back to yours her landlord has thrown her out...this way you two will get to know each other before you marry,but you will marry soon the baby is due in under six months so you have that long Jungkook."
"Mr Jeon.....I don't want to be so big and fat when I marry...shouldn't it be sooner?"Rosa asked a slight hint of desperation in her voice.
Jungkook stared at the girl keenly taking in her agitation.He took hold of the doctors letter she had been waving around his sharp mind taking in the details.
"You don't mind if I contact this doctor do you?"
Rosa took the letter back,"I will arrange for him to call you."
"So Rosa will move in with you today then."His father said.
"No Im afraid not....I have someone living with me,"
"What!...well you will have to explain to her....this child is a Jeon!"
"Him....I live with a man dad and I have no intention of upsetting the status quo til I look into this."
"Damn it Jungkook! Where is Rosa going to go?"
"Well I'm sure she'll find somewhere...after all she found you didn't she?" He said cynically.
Rosa gave what sounded to Jungkook a fake sob but he stood his ground eventually the three left and he sunk into his chair.
"Jungkook?"
"He looked up to see his friends standing in his doorway.
"Come in..."
"So....is it true? Your gonna be a dad?" Jin asked
"How did you get that?"
"Jimin told us...it's ok none of the staff know but Jimin was with you wasn't he?"
"Aaargh! I'm so pissed! I know deep down that I am not that babies father yet she waves a doctors letter and convinces my parents....did we fuck...yes once and she virtually threw herself at me....Ive told her I want to see the doctor she is going to arrange it...something is off,I know it is,she's convincing though my parents want her to move in...hell my dad said we had just under six months to get married before the baby was born she pushed for sooner said she doesn't want to look fat....suppose she has a point she's quite big now........."
"Is the letter fake?" Tae chimed in.
"What?"
"Well you said she looks big...was she already pregnant?"
"Tae your a genius!Suga you still got that PI friend?"
Jungkook was scribbling down information.
"This is who she said her doctor is,this is her information,can you ask him to look into it,I'll pay whatever he wants but I'm convinced I am not that child's father ,she was too shifty and how did she get my parents details?"
Suga took the paper moving towards the door.
"I'll get right on it ...but maybe you should go see Jimin?"
"Jimin...why?"
"Kook we know you two are living together...think about it...he was there when your parents brought in a pregnant ex....he looked........shellshocked...he went home."
"What!no...oh fuck....Ive got to go!"
He rushed out apologising as he nearly crashed into his secretary.
"Sorry er rearrange my appointments I have to go!"
"Mr Jimin got Namjoon to do that earlier sir."
"Right...ok....."
He ran to the lift pressing the button frantically.
"Come on come on," he muttered annoyed before the lift arrived and he got in pushing another button.What had he been thinking,of course Jimin would be thinking the worst,he checked his phone checking the others location .
"Good he's at home......"
Getting in his car he drove off quickly keeping just in the speed limit.
Arriving home he let himself in,seeing Jimins cases by the door.
"Jimin? Jimin where are you?"
A crash of glass had him following the sound to the kitchen where he found Jimin trying to pick up glass shards while barefoot.
"Jimin....?"
"Kookieeee,sorry it slipped..."
A very inebriated Jimin said as he lunged towards the pieces yelping as his fingers collided with the sharp shards and red stained the floor.
"Don't move!"
Jungkook leaned to pick the small male up wincing as he saw his feet cut too.
He sat Jimin on a stool fetching a first aid box and carefully removing slivers of glass.
"Silly boy what were you thinking why are you so drunk ?" He murmured but Jimin heard.
"Ssssh,don't tell Kookie I'm sad.....did you know soju numbs your brain? It must numb my feet too look they're bleeding...I can't feel it....Kookie isn't mine anymore I'm waiting for him.....don't tell him I broke the glass.....so tired.........why can't I ever keep anyone....?" Tears ran down Jimins face as he flopped forward,Jungkook catching him before he slipped from the stool.
He carried Jimin upstairs laying him on top of the bed .he stared down at the smaller male.
"I've got you,I'm never going to leave you."
He undressed him wiping him down and putting pj's on him. He checked the dressings on his wounds then slipped him into the bed.
Next he brought his cases up unpacking them. A few times he stopped as Jimin cried in his sleep only settling as Jungkook came and caressed his face.
He went downstairs cleaning up the mess his heart hurting as he thought of the state of mind Jimin must have been in to get so completely drunk.
He started cooking some hangover soup leaving it to simmer as he went upstairs and showered and changed then went back downstairs.
His phone rang it was Suga.
"Kook I think Tae was right,my man said this 'doctor' is a nurse at the hospital ,we think he's forged the letter. He's looking into it but seems these two were or are a couple....he works part time at the medical centre where we all get our check ups done. I'm thinking this was all pre arranged,I think you meeting her was a set up,it's more likely the baby is his."
"But why would you let your girlfriend sleep with someone?"
"But did you?"
"Eh?"
"I remember you saying how fuzzy headed you were months ago,you said you'd met a girl who had thrown herself at you,that you must have been drunk because you woke up in a hotel not remembering the night before and that the girl came out of the bathroom where she had dressed?"
"That's right....I was mad at myself for getting that drunk plus I never stay out I always go home!But I was in my boxers in bed....."
"Don't worry Kook,I believe you and she looks over four months pregnant....you weren't with her then,you say she was in a rush to get married?It's probably a scam,you marry her...she conveniently has a premature child and then separates getting a divorce with you paying out a fortune....."
"But the kid would have my name not his?"
"You think either of them care? I expect it was unplanned and they thought of a way of benefiting from it.."
"God I hope it's true....."
"How's Jimin about it?"
"Totally drunk and in a state....oh shit I'm gonna have to go I think he woke up"
Jungkook clicked his phone off running upstairs to find Jimin had got out of bed and was throwing up in the bathroom.
"Hey baby let me help...."
"Not your baby...she's having your baby....I'm not anything anymore.eurghhhh!"
Jungkook patted his back then when he was done took him to the sink to rinse his mouth and wash his face.
Jimin looked pale and worn out .
"I gotta go...." He murmured weakly
"You're going nowhere..."
"I am I'm all packed.."
"I unpacked."
"Noooo,I can't do this,I can't be a third wheel,she's your future not me."
"I have no future with someone like her,she's lying Jimin."
"But I saw,I saw she's pregnant...Eugh my head aches!"
"Drink this and take these."
Jungkook handed Jimin water and tablets which he took.
"I don't understand....."
"You will baby,you will now close your eyes....thats it...just a nap eh,you'll feel better."
Jungkooks murmured tones and caressing hand on his hair soon had Jimin asleep.
"That's it baby,when you wake up I'll feed you and explain,but you can be sure I'm not letting you leave me,I love you Park Jimin,I didn't realise til today what these feelings are but I'm sure as hell gonna make you stay ....!"
