DRACO'S POV

I awoke to the blinding sunlight peaking through a small crack between my drapes and beaming right in my face. It was just enough to piss me off for the morning. I could've slept all day. It's not like there's anything else to do in this empty manor.

Letting out a loud huff I rolled over putting the pillow over my face. The summer was coming to an end and I was ready for it to be over. I had been alone the majority of the summer and was getting very ill with it.

I'm leaving this manor today, I thought to myself. I jumped up and rushed over to my closet grabbing a dark pair of jeans and a black button up. After getting dressed I hurried down the stairs to the main entrance. I couldn't stay here any longer without going mad.

"Father" I called out but there was no answer.

"Mother" again there was nothing. I felt the smirk on my mouth growing immensely. As long as I'm back before they are no one will ever know.

Opening the door I walked out of the manor and stared walking sticking my hands in my pockets. I didn't know where I was going, I just didn't want to be there. Stuck inside all day.

An elf appeared infront of me "master Draco, you mother has instructed me to take you where you want to go. Just have to be back before dark when your father arrives home."

I jumped. "Don't just approach me like that" I hissed. The elf nodded slightly in fear which made me feel bad.

"Fine. Take me to London." I said. He took my hand and we apperated into an ally way. After walking out I saw Kings Cross Station to my right. I started walking down the street towards an area I hadn't been before.

Shop after shop I kept walking by peering in them. Filthy Muggles, there's nothing worth anything here. I walked for hours only going into a couple of book stores before I noticed I was starting to get a little hungry. I left before breakfast this morning and my stomach was letting me know it.

I saw a shop with a tea cup on the front. Surely they had food there. When I entered a bell rang above the door. I looked around and there's not a single person in here. I walked over and sat at an empty table near the back of the little shop. I looked over to another table that was a few away from the one where I was. There was a book that looked awfully familiar and I tried to get a better look when I heard a noise from behind me.

I turned quickly to see a fair skinned girl with dark brown hair. She was stunning. My heart started to beat faster when she started to walk towards me. I pushed it down and ignored the feeling. She's a muggle.

"What can I get for you?" She asked in a smooth warm voice.

"What's good?" I said firmly and turned to the menu on the wall.

"Well if you like tea I recommend the lavender tea. It's very soothing. Umm if you're a coffee guy probably a macchiato. It's sweet but not too sweet. And our pastries are all pretty great so you can't go wrong with any of those." She offered with a smile.

I tried not to but I could feel the corners of my mouth twinge in a smile. Her voice was soft, it reminded me of my mother's in a way.

"Let me get the whatever coffee you recommend and an apple tart pastry." I said and glanced at her face. Her eyes were beautiful. Damn. But remember she's a muggle.

"Of course, it'll be right out." She walked back around the corner and I adjusted myself back in my chair to face to the wall like I was before. No one would ever know I had a conversation with a muggle. It's not a big deal. I'd never see her again anyways. Part of me was panicking.

My brain was lost in thought when it was interrupted by the footsteps approaching from behind. She placed down a plate with an apple pastry and a cup of coffee that was so hot you could see the steam rolling off of it.

"Here we are, anything else I can get you?" She asked kindly.

"No thank you." I smiled up at her before she turned to walk to the table with the books. I watched as she sat down and started reading.

I picked up the tart and began eating right away. It was delicious, obviously home made. I hadn't had anything like this is ages. I looked up and noticed her looking back at me.

"Pretty good huh?" She grinned

I nodded slightly embarrassed before picking up the coffee after letting it cool for a moment. I didn't know what to expect but after trying it I decided I didn't hate it, but didn't love it either.

"Got any fun plans coming up this week?" She asked breaking the silence and causing me to look up

I cleared my throat before speaking "just starting back to school really. Yourself?" Stupid. Why would you ask her I thought to myself.

"The same actually. I'm also meeting my brother for the first time this week. We've been separated since we were 1." She said seeming a little nervous

"Well I hope it goes as you want it to." I said this time not as judgmental towards myself hoping the best for her. I mean she was very kind.

"Thank you. I'm Y/N by the way." She offered looking down at her books then back up to meet my eyes.

"I'm Draco" We held our eye contact for a few seconds before we were interrupted by the bell above the door. She quickly got up and walked towards the people who were now sitting at the front of the restaurant.

Pulling out my wallet I took out the emergency muggle money I was given in case I was ever in danger and left it on the table. Walking up to the door I stole one last glance before walking out back into the busy city. That's a face I'll remember always.

Heading down the street a guy ran into my shoulder and kept walking making me forget all about the good experience I just had. Bloody muggles.

After that I was ready to be home. Entering the alley way I saw the elf apperate in front of me. He stuck out his hand, grabbing it we started to twist and turn until we made it back to the entrance of the Manor.

We walked in and without stopping I went straight to the shower completely disgusted with myself.

I was alone once again. But this time I at least had something to think about or someone.

But in just two days I'd be back at school starting
my third year with all my friends and I'd forget about the loneliness and the muggle girl until next Summer.
