Apollo was going to visit his niece, but it had been a while since he had seen her since her stay at St. Mungo's hospital, where she spent most of her time in recovery. It wasn't about that; it was considered a joyous occasion for Amaryllis. Hearing that Amaryllis got accepted at Hogwarts made Apollo feel extremely nervous for multiple reasons.
The first was that rumors spread that "He must not be named" may again rise into power. In addition, the odd disappearance of Amaryllis' parents, including her sister, left Amaryllis unprotected and vulnerable, taking advantage of it and possibly kidnapping her again.
He just felt utterly hopeless in his sister, Artemis, who was no help either, claiming he was delusional and going to his head. He decided not to fight against it, especially his aunt Leto, who was a furious and devoted mother to her. She will not give up a fight even if it kills her, but he just smiled, ruffled his wavy brown hair, and held the present he wanted to give Amaryllis since she was going away. He left the carriage with the help of the coachman.
He walked towards a bronze-colored gate that stopped the house a few inches away, where the lawn was green and decorated with different types of flowers. Standing beside the gates were two lion stone statues. He approached the large mansion decorated with Roman-style columns and saw it was gorgeous. He knocked on the door, and a house elf answered and greeted him, allowing him to enter. Guiding him into the living room where his aunt Leto was with his cousin Artemis.
"I'm glad you can join us for Amaryllis's going-away party," Leto cheered as she hugged him. "She would be happy to see you soon."
"I know it has been a while. I've been so busy at the ministry," Apollo replied with a soft laugh as he took off his coat, "They have been working me pretty hard."
"You earned the position of commissioner. I think it's fair," Artemis added as she patted his back. "It feels good, doesn't it?"
Apollo grew silent when he was thinking about his niece, Amaryllis. Despite his job paying very handsomely and being unable to care for Amaryllis, Leto had to make her retire so she could take care of Amaryllis full-time. As he sat down to take a drink and placed his present for Amaryllis, pretending to be happy, Leto knew something was bothering him.
"Apollo... What is the matter? Are you happy Amaryllis is going to Hogwarts?" Leto asked.
"Yes. I'm happy for Lissi, but I fear for her safety," Apollo hesitated, wondering, "Her parents are especially unknown at this point."
Leto and Artemis were fear-stricken in their hearts, wondering about their unimaginable terror. Unleash again, finding her again, and lord knows what could happen again. She had two years of recovery and still had more growth. She didn't need to relive her nightmares again.
"Don't worry, Apollo. Amaryllis is in good hands," Artemis reassured with a smile, "Albus Dumbledore will keep her safe. He made special accommodations for her."
Despite her cheery words, Apollo had a feeling that would only be so limited, "Despite Dumbledore being a powerful wizard, I strongly believe it won't last as long."
"How so?" Leto raised her brow.
He was about to answer when he saw his niece coming inside the living room with a small smile. He smiled back at her as he pulled her into a warm hug, missing her so much as he wrapped his arms around her. Amaryllis felt the warmth and love from him as she nuzzled him like a kitten. Apollo chuckled at her small antics but was glad to see her happy, healthy, and well.
"Lissi... You're doing better," Apollo smiled, patting her hair. "Congratulations on getting accepted into Hogwarts."
"T-Thank... y-you..s-so much," Amaryllis stuttered with a smile, "I-I-I'm...v-very excited."
