THE ROYAL TRAP of Rathores

CHAPTER-1 ISHANI

The rudra dynasty

the sunlight shone over the kingdom. everyone was busy decorating the palace and organizing the palace. a girl in her early twenties wearing a green lehenga and serious jewels adoring her body as she completed aarti( a plate with vermilion a turmeric with small wikis to offer the god) to the god. She turned around and walked towards her family members.. her father, mother, brother, and sister showing them aarti to take blessing. She put a vermillion(a red color powder) spot on their foreheads. She touched her father's feet for blessing. after the puja, everyone went back to their work. soon she went to meet her father the king of the rudra dynasty, Raghu rudra.. she entered his chamber with his permission.

"father..I heard you called me here," she said her voice was sweet as honey maybe manipulative too.

"oh my daughter, you have grown up so much...the day will come soon when I will bid farewell to you and send you to Rathore kingdom...I am sure I won't regret my decision right?" he said and hugged her very fatherly.

as they were talking about the marriage arrangement between Ishani and Rajveer her mother entered the room. the guards and maids bowed their heads as the royal members of the palace were present in the room the queen brought much jewelry for her beloved daughter who was going to get married soon. she asked her maids to show the jewels.

"the Rathore is coming in a week or so i want you to be perfect as you are my daughter," she said and smiled. the girl smiled back she had a beautiful smile with a dimple on the side. 

"Mother you didn't have to...." the girl said while hugging her mother and when she broke the hug she looked at her father.

"I am going to miss you my daughter Ishani," he said and gave her a head part.

"you aren't a princess anymore Ishani you are a queen....queen of Rathroes," her mother said as she ordered the maids to keep the jewels in Ishani's chamber.

Ishani has always been trained to be a perfect queen as her enganment with the rathores was fixed at an early age as was her sister Devi's but not to a kingdom as big as the rathores. devi and Ishani had the same training but Ishani always excelled at everything this angered Devi a lot and she was always trying to make Ishani inferior but always failed in doing so. they were thought to be a good person and learn things like cooking, cleaning, and sewing...

Ishani walked out of her father's chamber and went to the garden built specially for her she was walking towards her garden when she heard her sister talking ill about her with her so-called loyal maids." I bet her future husband is going to be ugly." she giggled as she talked to her maid. "I heard that he is cold and doesn't care about anyone.." her maid said. I looked at them then ignored them and walked away. "shhh mauri keep your voice down low or else she is going to cry" Devi said laughed, I went to my garden one of my maids called Ramya was tending the plants and watering them. those plants weren't normal ones they were special plants from all over the world they are rarely found and they are medicinal plants. the garden had a big neem tree with a swing and rose plants here and there. it had a small pond with water lilies and lotus. Ishani was picking out the lotus to offer goddess Laxmi the goddess of wealth and prosperity. As she was picking the lotus Kashi came towards her." Rajkumari the court hearings came to an end why didn't you come today?" Kashi asked.

"was not in the mood Kashi i am feeling a little overwhelmed  that I have to get married soon." Ishani said. " so what happened in the court today?"

"oh...the rhatores will be here in 4 days and they asked to make preparations. the financial state of our kingdom is going down because of problems with imports and exports. Yuvraj decided to stop the imports for a while as the other kingdoms are selling their goods at a higher price rate which may damage the economy of our kingdom mostly we aren't selling or taking goods from Harshanagara as they are selling expired ones too," Kashi said.

"hmm....that's an issue" Ishani was about to say something when her brother the crown prince of the rudra dynasty came into the garden.

"looks like my sister already got the information about the court hearing, right?" said Aryan teasing ly as he knows Kashi is very talkative and would say everything to Ishani.

"yes, brother you know Kashi," Ishani said with a giggle while Kashi turned red on his face

"so are you worried that the rathores are coming here soon?" he asked in a teasing tone hoping he would get a shy reaction from Ishani.

"no bhai not at all...I am worried about our people suffering," Ishani said in a calm tone as she put the lotus in a basket 

" so do you think I made a correct decision?" Aryan asked as he helped Ishani get some roses too

" yes brother but I think we should give them some sort of support till they get on their feet again," Ishani said as she was deeply thinking about the welfare of people.

"give them nessisty?" Kashi said. which helped Ishani get a good idea.

"oh my god, Kashi you are intelligent. give them food, clothes, and a few amounts of gold so they can survive this crisis. what do you say, brother?" Ishani said as shehe looked at her brother in joy and kept the flowers in the basket carefully.

"as you say princess you are really helpful I will miss you if you go to the rathores," Aryan said with some fake crying...

"Okay bhaiya.....now stop crying you have some big arrangements to make for your kingdom's people and also your cute sister," Ishani said with a light laugh.

"yes yes...I will get going now. if you need help make sure to ask me for help and I will always be present" Aryan said and left with his guards.

Kashi and Ishani went to the puja room to offer flowers to the god and goddess.  after spending a few minutes decorating the  gods and goddesses with flowers Ishani and Kashi went back to Ishani's chamber,

"Rajkumari, there are more than 2 hours for lunch preparation to start should we go for archery?" Kashi asked

"let's go then," Ishani said and soon changed into some plain clothes she wore a white kurta and an arrow carrier on her back. She took a bow and Kashi, as well as Ishani, went down with the help of a rope from her chambers balcony. they went to the denser part of the forest where she would shoot animals. As she was practicing her archery she hit random targets and was successful always. it was a big no for royal women to learn martial arts only a few kingdoms allowed their royal women to practice martial arts. despite of so many hurdles Ishani always learnt martial arts in her secret way she used to read books and practice the same.  this secret only Kashi knew and she was the one was supported her during this. as Ishani was chasing a deer with her bow and arrow Kashi called her.

"Rajkumari!! we have to go back before the lunch starts !" as Kashi said they both went back to the palace.

Ishani took a warm bath before getting back to the perfect daughter she is and no one would know her secret. She is not just interested in archery but also in swords she just tries to be perfect at each and it is an obsession that made her like this.
